SPOTLIGHT Dr. Kenneth Houston College of Arts and Science Dr. Houston was awarded his PhD by the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland. His thesis examined the concept of formalized dialogue between religious associations and the institutions of the European Union. He also holds an MA in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Ulster and a Higher Diploma in Mediation and Conflict Resolution from University College Dublin. He has taught at the University of Ulster on the subjects of European Integration, West European Politics, The Foundations of Political Thought and at Masters level, Divided Societies in the Modern World. At Webster he teaches International Affairs, Politics of Peace, Political Theory and The World System since 1500 among other courses. He also completed a research internship with the International Conflict Research institute (INCORE) based at the University of Ulster s Magee Campus, where he contributed to research into European Union funded post-conflict peace-building strategies in Northern Ireland.
