GUIDELINES FOR RECRUITMENT OF PROFESSOR/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/ASSISTANT PROFESSOR/TUTORS ON CONTRACT BASIS IN GOVERNMENT MEDICAL COLLEGES IN TELANGANA STATE 1. The recruitment to the posts is on contract basis and as per GO. Rt.No 452 Health, Medical and Family Welfare (B1), Government of Telangana, dated 3/8/2018. 2. The appointment as contract employee is purely temporary and is for a term of 1 year or till the vacancies are filled by promotion/ regular appointment, whichever is earlier. 3. The eligibility criteria which are mandatory for the posts are as follows: BROAD SPECIALITIES- CLINICAL Posts Academic Qualification Teaching and research Experience A post graduate Associate for 3 years in the concerned subject in a recognized/permitted/approved Regulation of MCI medical college/institute with 4 (Minimum Qualifications for research publications in Indexed Teachers in Medical Journals on Cumulative basis with Institutions Regulations 1998 minimum of 2 research including the prevailing publications during the tenure as Associate as 1 st Author Associate Assistant A post graduate Regulationof MCI (Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations 1998 including the prevailing A post graduate Regulationof MCI (Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations 1998 including the prevailing BROAD SPECIALITIES- NON- CLINICAL or as corresponding author* Assistant for 4 years in the concerned subject in a recognized/permitted/approved medical college/institute with 2 research publications in indexed Journals during the tenure as 1 st Author or as corresponding author* 3 years as Junior Resident in a recognized medical college in the concerned subject and 1 year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject in a recognized medical college. Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations 1998 including the prevailing Telangana Medical Council** Tutor MBBS MBBS registered with Telangana Medical Council ** * For publications after 8/6/2017, 1 st author or corresponding author and for publications before 8/6/2017, 1 st author or 2 nd author is accepted. ** Outside state candidates should get their registered from Telangana State Medical Council within one week of selection, for their appointment to be confirmed. 4. A committee will be constituted for selection. A Verification committee will also be constituted by the Principal/ Director / Appropriate authority of the College for verification of the certificates. The Selection of candidates will be as per the TEQ (Teachers Eligibility Qualification) Regulations of Medical Council of India (MCI)including the prevailing amendments and other selection criteria mention below. 5. DNB Candidates will be selected as per the latest existing MCI guidelines. a). If already promoted as or Associate and accepted by MCI in the previous assessments, they are eligible to apply. b) If applying for post of Assistant then, post DNB, 3 years as Junior Resident in a recognized medical college in the concerned subject and 1 year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject in a recognized medical college is mandatory. (Proof in the form of bank statements or form 16 for the 4 years to be attached along with application form) 6. Selection of candidates will be nation wide. 7. The age of the applicant should be below 65 years. 8. The selected candidate will have to submit the relieving order from their previous institute, failing which their selection will stand cancelled. 9. The candidates should not have appeared for any MCI assessment on and after 1 st August 2018 since the assessment is for the academic year 2019-20. 10. During the period of contract, the faulty will be paid a consolidated monthly remuneration depending upon the post as per GO. Rt.No.452 Health, Medical And Family Welfare (B1), Government of Telangana, dated 3/8/2018. The remuneration shall be all inclusive and subject to deduction of tax at source and/ or any other statutory deductions to the extent required under the laws. 11. The selected faculty will be eligible for thirty (30) days leave in a calendar year on cumulative basis. 12. The contract is liable to be terminated at any time with a one month notice, without assigning any reason whatsoever. Similarly the selected faculty may also terminate the contract any time with one month s notice 13. The engaged faculty will be at the disposal of the institute on whole time basis and his/her service may be utilized in any manner required by the Competent Authority of the Institute without any claims for any remuneration. 14.
