BLOOMFIELD BUILDING March 19, 2015 The Bloomfield-Mespo Local Board of Education met on March 19, 2015 at 6:31 p.m. for the purpose of a regular board meeting. Mr. Kaiser Mrs. Viney Mr. Foster Mr. Brazofsky Mr. Sly Absent PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE What s new at Bloomfield Middle/High School-Steve Kobus What s new at Mespo Elementary-Russell McQuaide PUBLIC PARTICIPATION 15-30 APPROVAL OF MINUTES It was moved by Mr. Sly and seconded by Mr. Brazofsky to approve the minutes of February 19, 2015.. 15-31 FINANCIAL REPORTS It was moved by Mr. Kaiser and seconded by Mr. Sly to accept the financial reports of February 2015.. 15-32 TAX RATES It was moved by Mr. Kaiser and seconded by Mr. Brazofsky to approve the following tax rates: Outside millage 46.90 Inside millage 4.70 Emergency 3.05 Total 54.65 15-33 ATHLETICS BUDGET REVISION It was moved by Mr. Foster and seconded by Mr. Sly to approve the Athletics activity budget revision. 15-34 RESIGNATION-DEBBIE BRZYSCZ-ELEMENTARY SECRETARY It was moved by Mr. Brazofsky and seconded by Mr. Kaiser to accept the resignation of Debbie Brzyscz as the Elementary Secretary effective March 20, 2015. 15-35 EMPLOY-DEBBIE BRZYSCZ-ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT It was moved by Mr. Brazofsky and seconded by Mr. Sly to employ Debbie Brzyscz as an Administrative Assistant effective March 20, 2015.

15-36 RESIGNATION-DUSTIN KEYLOR-NINE MONTH CUSTODIAN It was moved by Mr. Foster and seconded by Mr. Sly to accept the resignation of Dustin Keylor as a nine month custodian effective March 20, 2015. 15-37 EMPLOY-DUSTIN KEYLOR-TWELVE MONTH CUSTODIAN It was moved by Mr. Kaiser and seconded by Mr. Foster to employ Dustin Keylor as a twelve month custodian effective March 20, 2015. 15-38 LEAVE OF ABSENCE-CHERYL LAUKA It was moved by Mr. Brazofsky and seconded by Mr. Sly to approve an extended leave of absence for Cheryl Lauka, without pay, for personal reasons. The extended leave will begin April 3, 2015 and will be for a period not to exceed one year. 15-39 2015-2016 SCHOOL YEAR CALENDAR APPROVAL It was moved by Mr. Sly and seconded by Mr. Foster to approve the Bloomfield- Mespo Local Schools 2015-2016 school year calendar. ($1,584 per month/$19,008 per year) 15-41 MASTER SERVICE AGREEMENT BETWEEN BLOOMFIELD-MESPO LOCAL SCHOOLS & ONECOMMUNITY It was moved by Mr. Brazofsky and seconded by Mr. Foster to approve Master Service Agreement and Service Order Amendments to Master Service Agreement between the Bloomfield-Mespo Local School District and OneCommunity. The contract is established according to the Service Attachment between OneCommunity and the State of Ohio, Department of Administrative Services. The fiberoptic build cost for Mesopotamia Elementary School of $172,356.00 and Bloomfield High School for $153,907.00 is being paid for by the Last Mile Initiative Grant from the Ohio Department of Education. 15-42 COLLEGE CREDIT PLUS KENT STATE UNIVERSITY It was moved by Mr. Brazofsky and seconded by Mr. Sly to enter into College Credit Plus Master Agreement between the Bloomfield-Mespo Local School District and Kent State University. 15-43 COLLEGE CREDIT PLUS EASTERN GATEWAY COMM. COLLEGE It was moved by Mr. Sly and seconded by Mr. Brazofsky to enter into a memorandum of understanding for College Credit Plus Alternative Funding Agreement between the Bloomfield-Mespo Local School District and Eastern Gateway Community College. 15-44 MOU - BLOOMFIELD-MESPO & OHIO NE HEALTH SYSTEMS INC. It was moved by Mr. Brazofsky and seconded by Mr. Sly to approve the memorandum of understanding between the Bloomfield-Mespo Local School District and Ohio North East Health Systems Inc. (Ohio Health One)

15-45 SECOND READING AND APPROVAL OF POLICIES It was moved by Mr. Sly and seconded by Mr. Brazofsky to approve the second reading and approval of the following policies: 5113 INTER-DISTRICT OPEN ENROLLMENT 3220 STANDARDS BASED TEACHER EVALUATION 15-46 BUILDING USE It was moved by Mr. Kaiser and seconded by Mr. Sly to approve the use of the Bloomfield High School Building for the National Honor Society Induction Dinner on March 23,2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the BHS Cafeteria. 15-47 EMPLOY ALEXANDER GABRIELE-TEACHER It was moved by Mr. Sly and seconded by Mr. Brazofsky to employ Alexander Gabriele as a teacher for the 2015-2016 school year.
