CALL TO ORDER SPECIAL MEETING AGENDA PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE PUBLIC COMMENT An opportunity is offered at this time for members of the public to make comment on agenda and non-agenda items. Up to one hour has been set aside for public participation. This hour may be extended with concurrence of the School Board. Speakers will sign in on resident and nonresident sheets before or during the meeting. Residents will be called upon to speak first. Members of the public will be allowed up to five minutes each to address the School Board. The five minutes shall include any time spent receiving answers to questions. Members of the public may not cede their five minutes of participation time to other persons. The Board president will call speakers to the microphone in sign-in sheet order. NEW BUSINESS A. NEW BUSINESS B. APPROVAL OF PROPOSED TENTATIVE AGREEMENT The Pennsbury Board of School Directors and the Pennsbury Education Association (PEA) reached a tentative agreement on August 19, 2015. The terms of the tentative agreement provide for a contract with a term of one year (July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016), with a 1.0% pay scale increase effective August 31, 2015, one column movement for all eligible PEA members at mid-year, and movement to correct column for all eligible PEA members at sunset, and the Keystone Point of Service 15S 30/40 as the benchmark healthcare plan for all long term substitutes and any employee who was first hired as a contracted employee for the 2015-2016 school year. All other provisions of the previous 2010-2015 collective bargaining agreement will remain in force during the term of this tentative agreement. On September 1, 2015, the PEA confirmed that the tentative agreement was ratified in a vote by the full membership. The Board may wish to vote on ratification of the tentative agreement. Move that the new Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Pennsbury School District and the Pennsbury Education Association for the one year period of July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016, be approved as presented and that the appropriate officers of the Board be authorized to execute the tentative agreement and the final collective bargaining agreement, and that a copy of the tentative agreement be attached to the minutes of this meeting.
