Alaska Native Program Alyeska Alliance Section 29 Scholarship Application 2018-2019 The NANA WorleyParsons Scholarship Program has been organized under Section 29 of the Grant of Right of Way Agreement Lease for the operation of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. The goal of the Scholarship Program is to provide financial aid to Alaska Native students, which will assist them in achieving their college educational goals and prepare them for jobs on the Trans Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS). Number of Awards: The number and amount of scholarships/grants awarded each year is dependent upon: The number of eligible applicants The quality of applications The availability of funds Applicants Must Meet the Following Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must be of Alaska Native heritage and be able to provide acceptable documentation (see the checklist for specific documentation accepted). Award Criteria: Drafting & Design - Have a high school diploma or equivalent. Be enrolled in a drafting certification program or enrolled in an associated technical degree program. Engineering Must be a College Junior or senior enrolled in a engineering degree program and hold a 2.5 or higher GPA. Business/Finance Must be at least a College Junior or senior enrolled in a business degree program and hold a 2.5 or higher GPA. Internships - Have a high school diploma or equivalent. Be enrolled in a drafting certification program or enrolled in an associated technical degree program or enrolled in an engineering degree program. Be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program at a college or university, which will prepare candidates for a position on the Trans-Alaska Pipeline or AutoCAD/Drafting or related field. Be a full-time (12 credit hours or the number of credits the school requires for full-time status) student during the entire academic year to be eligible for the total scholarship amount offered. Scholarships are available for part time students and awards are pro-rated to the number of hours less than full time. The primary emphasis of NANA WorleyParsons Scholarship Program is to provide educational assistance and Internships to Alaska Native Students pursuing degrees in the Engineering, Design and Drafting fields which correspond to the services that NANA WorleyParsons provides Alyeska under contract. While applicants in other educational fields will be considered, preference is made towards the Engineering fields. All scholarships are awarded on an semester/term basis. Be enrolled as an undergraduate student pursuing a drafting certificate program or four year degree at an accredited institution and maintain at least a 2.5 GPA during the scholarship year. All scholarship award payments are issued in the college s name and sent to the financial aid office address stated on the awardee s application. This release form will enable the Awarded Organization to provide information to APSC regarding your progress or other information as requested, such as a current resume with contact information that may be used for purposes of employment or other recruitment efforts. A condition of receipt of APSC funding requires that you complete this Student Information Release and Attestation Form and submit it along with a current resume, and any other requested documentation, to the Awarded Organization named above.
