The Museum Studies Internship Program is an unpaid semester, year-long, or summer internship for high school students, grades 10 through 12. No prior knowledge of art, history, or science is required. As a participant, this program will introduce you to museums, the arts and sciences, and a professional environment, where you will work with the education and curatorial departments. You will be trained to lead interactive tours and create and assist in museum programming. why would I want to do that? Because you will have the chance to Learn about the Everhart s collections Improve public speaking skills and be trained to give tours Assist educators during family and youth programs Work with artists Create youth programs like artist talks, film nights, workshops, and performances Design marketing materials like stickers, magnets, posters, buttons, and a web page Take an art workshop offered at the Everhart Museum for free Design a final project connecting your individual interests and museum experience Earn community service or other high school credits through your school Make a difference in your community what else should I know? As a Museum Studies Intern, you must Be available a minimum of two afternoons per week (Participants may be asked to work on Saturdays in addition to, or in lieu of weekdays.)
