WORLD LANGUAGE 1-2 OR HONORS Spanish, French or Mandarin Chinese 1-2: An introduction to the Spanish, French or Mandarin language and culture. Students learn vocabulary and basic language structures through conversation and written expression. Spanish or French 1-2 Honors: This advanced level emphasizes the language and culture utilizing techniques from the AP curriculum. Students will engage in rigorous academic activities to prepare them for Spanish or French 3-4 and 5-6 Honors, as well as AP Spanish or French. These classes require summer reading. SRI 1150 or above. **American Sign Language 1-2 is now being offered.
CAREER/TECHNICAL OPPORTUNITIES All DVUSD High School Students also belong to a district called West-Mec. West-Mec provides extraordinary opportunities off campus to provide BOTH high school credit and real life work experience and job training. 2017-2018 Electronic Course Request Process Instructions Log onto Powerschools at: https://ps.dvusd.org Sign in using your Powerschool username and password Select the class registration icon in the navigation bar on the left Select your course requests (this area could look different depending on the school you attend) Click on the pencil icon to select your course for each subject area. Follow the directions of each course group. All red! must be gone before you can select the Submit button to finish the process. I understand the ONLY valid reasons for a schedule change are: 1. Computer Error 2. Changes needed to satisfy graduation requirements 3. Changes required by health 4. Completion of health and fitness center through eschool over the summer. 14
