The Little Ladybug Foundation of St. Louis Transforming Girls into Successful Young Ladies HBCU/SPELMAN SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION - 2014-2015 ACADEMIC YEAR Dear Applicant: The vision of the Little Ladybug foundation is to mentor young ladies, who profess an interest in higher education. The organization offers leadership enrichment, college prep skills sessions, scholarship and financial aid workshops, as well as an annual college tour. The goal of The Little Ladybug Foundation of St. Louis Annual Scholarship is to provide college assistance for young ladies who are looking to pursue a college education at Spelman College or a Historically Black College or University. Our organization is particularly looking for well-rounded young ladies, who are passionate about being a change agent in their local and global community. One scholarship will be for Spelman and one for another HBCU. It is very important that you thoroughly review this application and answer fully each item that pertains to you. It is equally important that you submit, with the completed application all required supporting documents. Official transcripts may be submitted separately; however, official transcripts must be received by the due date. Incomplete applications will not be considered. To be considered for this scholarship: ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA All participants for this scholarship must be female graduating in the spring of 2014 You must have at least a 2.5 grade point average (GPA) to be considered for the HBCU Scholarship. Amount $500 At least a 3.0 GPA is required for the Little Ladybug Spelman College Scholarship. Amount $500 Applicants must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours to receive The Little Ladybug Scholarship. Applicants must be a resident of the St. Louis Metropolitan Area. This includes St. Clair County in Illinois. Other conditions and stipulations may apply. The Little Ladybug Foundation reserves the right to withdraw an awarded scholarship. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS Please read the instructions carefully. Failure to follow the instructions may result in the disqualification of your application. 1. You must type or print legibly in ink. Do not submit prom pictures or glamour shots. Photos will not be returned) 8. Essay must be typed, double-spaced, and include your name in the upper left corner of each page.
