We are happy to report that TASK has sponsored 6 new students this year who passed their Kenya Certificate of Primary Examination. We didn t get any individual or direct sponsorships this year. This year s target s t We exceeded our target last year by sponsoring 12 new students in 2014 because of the favourable exchange rate and also one of the students from 2013 dropped out making some more money available. This year TASK has sponsored 6 new students this year. We will continue with the same activities as last year: We will run a Quiz night in the autumn. We will also run the TASK Triples Charity day bowls tournament at Caterham Bowling Club. The TASK Charity Bridge play sessions will again be held just before Christmas 2015. As we are running more bridge sessions this year we aim to raise 2,500 over the year from the TASK Refreshment Student Fund. We raised 2,180 (up from 1,500 in 2013). We would welcome any other ideas for raising funds. We would also like to obtain sponsorship for at least 4 more children next year because there are so many students with potential who without sponsorship will drop out of school at the primary level. This year we would hope to raise fees for 2016 for the existing students and for at least 8 further students. Secondary school education is for 4 years and the students get the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education School on successful completion. Our aim is to get sponsorship or funding which will ensure a student is able to complete their education. Tel No: 01883 713938 Tandridge Academic Support for Kenya is a registered Charity No: 1135791
