TRAIN The Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration program at Oklahoma Technical College prepares you to excel in the HVAC/R industry. You will learn through classroom lectures and theory and receive hands-on training in our on-site HVAC/R shop, designed to simulate real-world environments. DEVELOP Students in the HVAC/R program will learn a variety of topics including an understanding of heat and energy theory, mastering tools of the HVAC/R industry and safety precautions, basic electricity and magnetism, application or refrigeration systems, as well as how to operate and troubleshoot industry equipment. CAREER Graduates are prepared to begin a career as a heating, refrigeration or controls contractor, with commercial refrigeration facilities, property management firms, wholesale vendors, schools, hospitals and more.
