SCHEDULE A: ENGLISH LANGUAGE CRITERIA FOR DEAKIN COURSEWORK PROGRAMS (Approved by Academic Board on 29 May 2018) This Schedule is made pursuant to the Admission Criteria and Selection (Higher Education Courses) procedure. Deakin University applies four standards for language criteria (Bands A D) for admission to coursework programs. In accordance with the Admission Criteria and Selection (Higher Education Courses) procedure, both domestic and international applicants for Deakin courses must meet the language criteria as specified for the relevant Band. This Schedule sets out the following language criteria: Table A1 language Bands for Deakin coursework courses Table A2 Standard criteria for language proficiency Table A3 International equivalences of the standard criteria set out in Table A2 for language proficiency tests Table A4 International equivalences of the standard criteria set out in Table A2 for language proficiency qualifications. Submission of other evidence of language proficiency which is judged as acceptable by the Academic Board may be made using the language proficiency request template.
