Why earn an Endorsement? It is the district s goal for all students to graduate with at least one endorsement. Selecting an Endorsement Review your Personal Graduation Plan (PGP) with the endorsement you chose with your counselor Only choose electives from the endorsement/pathway you chose
Performance Acknowledgements A student may earn a performance acknowledgement by successfully completing: At least 12 college hours Bilingualism/Bi-literacy Advanced Placement Exam a score of 3 or above College Ready Exam PSAT, ACT, and/or SAT Workforce Readiness National or state certification or licensures
Selecting Alternative Electives If your initial classes are not available or you do not select alternate courses, your Counselor will assign them according to your endorsement. Courses required for graduation will take priority.
Required Courses Students are required to select a total of 7 course credits. All classes with an (*) require counselor recommendation, auditions, try-outs, Dual Credit/Cedar Valley College application, or a completed CTE Advance Course Application.

Schedule Changes Course selections made during Spring pre-registration are considered FINAL. Any request made after the deadline will not be honored due to the effect these changes have on classroom enrollment. Cedar Hill High School reserves the right to change course selections depending on test results, school staffing, and other factors which may affect course offerings. Course selections should be made with the parent, student, and counselor.

GET TO KNOW THE PSAT/NMSQT The PSAT/NMSQT is highly relevant to your future success because it focuses on the skills and knowledge at the heart of your education. It measures: What you learn in high school What you need to succeed in college The PSAT/NMSQT measures reading, writing and language, and math skills developed over many years. The PSAT/NMSQT does not ask for facts from literature, history, or science, or for recall of math formulas, because it measures your reasoning and critical thinking skills. You don t have to discover secret tricks or cram the night before. There is no penalty for guessing. The test length is 2 hours, 45 minutes. 24
