Professional growth activities Attended a two day workshop for An Introduction to SAS for Windows, dated May 7 th and 14 th May 2010 held by Institute of Social Research York University, Toronto, Canada. Two day short course on overview of SAS and it s underlying logic ; an explanation of the use of the display manager system to run a SAS job; and introduction to the SAS data step for reading, importing,transforming and storing numeric and character data. Further saw the programming techniques to modify data, create charts and plots and transform temporary datasets to permanent datasets.

YEF is an academic club in the North South University where interaction between economists and students are encouraged; economists who work in and outside of the academia are brought in, to share their thoughts and ideas. This platform gave me the scope along with the students to organize few successful events, two of the examples are- Organized Cross Talk 2012 (A talk show where experts panelists would choose the best speaker among the students), Econ fest unprecedented public-speaking competition (where young economists where tested for their knowledge, intelligence and promptness regarding economics and worldly issues. It consisted of two sessions: Quiz Fiesta and The Battle of the Ecoholics ). Equilibrium 2012 (an official magazine of YEF) was published under my supervision and so on.
