The teaching of writing Based on results from my dissertation project, I am currently looking at how writing courses can facilitate the development of students identities as writers. Alison Bright 2

Research Experience My research experience has provided me with valuable experiences that have directly informed my work as a writing program administrator. In several research projects, I assumed positions of leadership and was responsible for supervising large-scale research and assessment projects. I have used fixed trait assessment methods to research student writing on an individual basis. I have also employed a combination of methods, such as observations, interviews, surveys, and focus groups, in order to conduct programmatic and group assessment.
