RECORD OF BOARD PROCEEDINGS (MINUTES) UNOFFICIAL The Paris Independent Paris, Ky., August 20, 2014 Board of Education met at CO Conference Rm at 5:00 o'clock P. M., on the 19th day of August, 2014, with the following members present: (1) Mr. Tucker (2) Mrs. Shepherd (3) Mr. Johnson (4) Ms. Fields (5) Mr. Mathes REGULAR MEETING The meeting was called to order by Chairperson, Michael Tucker. Roll call found all members present. Motion #140819-01 Approve Agenda It was moved by Mr. Johnson and seconded by Ms. Fields to approve the agenda as presented. Motion #140819-02 Approve Minutes It was moved by Mr. Johnson and seconded by Mrs. Shepherd to approve the minutes of the July 15, 2014 regular meeting. Recognition of the 2014 All-State track team participants was presented by Coach Brian Washington. Motion #140819-03 Approve Requests of Paris Elementary PTO It was moved by Mr. Johnson and seconded by Ms. Fields to approve the requests of the Paris Elementary PTO to sell Paris t-shirts, sponsor a flower bulb sale, sponsor their Fall Carnival and Elf on the Shelf Holiday Shop to raise funds for class activities and field trips. Motion #140819-04 Approve Requests of PMS/PHS Art Department It was moved by Mr. Johnson and seconded by Ms. Fields to approve the requests of the PHS/PMS Art Department to sponsor a dodgeball game, a step-by-step painting night, a silent auction at the fall Art Walk and a video game tournament to raise funds for equipment, supplies, a kiln, and to bring a touring theater company to the schools.

Motion #140819-05 Approve Requests of PMS/PHS Band It was moved by Mr. Johnson and seconded by Ms. Fields to approve the requests of the PMS/PHS Band to sponsor a car wash, food service at The Rock, and selling Krispy Kreme donuts by the dozen to raise funds for various band related expenses. Motion #140819-06 Approve Treasurer's Report It was moved by Mr. Mathes and seconded by Mrs. Shepherd to approve the treasurer's report as presented. Motion #140819-07 Approve Bills, Salaries and Wages It was moved by Mr. Mathes and seconded by Ms. Fields to approve payment of the bills, salaries and wages. OLD BUSINESS NEW BUSINESS Motion #140819-08 Approve Full-Time Substitute Position After discussion, it was moved by Mr. Mathes and seconded by Mr. Johnson to approve a full-time substitute position. Motion #140819-09 Approve Internet Safety Policy It was moved by Mr. Mathes and seconded by Mrs. Shepherd to approve the Internet Safety Policy for the 2014-2015 school year (copy attached). Discussion and approval of textbook purchasing plans has been tabled until the next board meeting. Motion # 140819-10 Approve KSBIT Assessment Payment Plan for Workers Compensation Fund and Property/Liability Fund It was moved by Mr. Johnson and seconded by Mrs. Shepherd to approve the assessment

payment plan by KSBIT for the workers compensation fund and the property and liability fund.
