Year 7 News MONBULK COLLEGE NEWS Congratulations to all the Year 7 students on a fantastic start to Secondary School in Term 1. In general, the Year 7 s have been terrific in terms of getting organised, completing work, involving themselves in all aspects of College life and most importantly putting in their best effort. Term 1 was a very busy one, with students participating in events such as the Phillip Island Camp, Year 7 BBQ, Working Bee, Swimming Sports, Division Swimming, SRC, Music Lessons, Lunchtime Volleyball Comp, Division Volleyball, College Production Auditions and Rehearsals, Open Night and Primary School Visits. So far this term we have had our Student Progress Conferences and the College Cross Country at Silvan Dam last Friday. It was great see so many of the Year 7 s and parents at the Student Progress Conferences. The conferences combined with the students interim reports (available on Compass) are a great way to see where the students are doing well and what they need to do to continue to improve. The Year 7 teachers have been very impressed with the effort and attitude of the Year 7 s and look forward to another productive term in Term 2. Year 7 students need to keep in mind the College expectations and fully understand our SOL system. Students must complete work on time, be organised and not be late to class. Being organised includes: wearing correct uniform (including plain black leather shoes and socks), use of planner, keeping a tidy locker, and bringing the correct equipment to each class. Year 7 Sports Wrap Swimming, Cross Country & Volleyball It has been a busy start to the year on the sporting scene. -It was fantastic to see so many Year 7 s attend, cheer and compete at the Monbulk College Swimming Carnival last term.
