Student Learning Outcmes: Expsure t and acquaintance with the terminlgy and symbls f Architecture and Familiarizatin with materials and design as it relates t Residential prjects. The student will demnstrate the knwledge f hw t prepare detailed wrking drawings fr a residential building, with emphasis n residential cnstructin methds. The student will exhibit a general understanding f architectural terms, symbls, use f residential cnstructin materials and prcesses, and a general knwledge f drawing prductin prcesses. The student will recgnize the relatinship between specificatins and drawings and exhibit a general knwledge f architectural requirements cncerning the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). COURSE REQUIREMENTS AND GRADING POLICY Each student will spend at least 4 hurs per week preparing fr class. The student will have an pprtunity t evaluate the instructr. Yu are expected t cmplete all assignments in a timely manner. Student grades will be assigned accrding t the fllwing criteria: PROJECTS 40% UNIT EXAMS 30% FINAL PROJECT 20% PARTICIPATION 10% TESTING There will be tests, exams, quizzes t be cmpleted, and yu will have ample time t prepare fr each f these. Tests, exams r quizzes are expected t be cmpleted n the scheduled day, and yu will receive yur test material back fr future reference MAKE-UP POLICY Late wrk will nt generally be accepted.
