Speed Networking Facilitators: Greg Knotts, Elementary Education Roxanne Moschetti, Child and Adolescent Development Each year, the retreat evaluations include comments about wanting more time to network and meet other faculty. Therefore, this year we have specifically added this opportunity. The purpose of speed networking is to provide a brief opportunity to meet other faculty, learn about each other, and rapidly build your campus network. We hope that you might even continue your discussions throughout the rest of the retreat and beyond. Let s Talk: Dialogue on Popular Topics Facilitators: CSUN Faculty Let s Talk! A Roundtable Discussion During this session, we will have open roundtable discussions about popular topics, as indicated by the CSUN faculty. These topics include: Collaborating with CSUN Colleagues on Research and Other Scholarly and Creative Contributions, Improving Teaching Effectiveness & Student Success in the Classroom, Innovative Teaching Ideas, Working with Challenging Students, and What Can We Do for Our Students in Need. These discussions will be facilitated by faculty from different departments within CSUN. Please come to share your wisdom and learn from your peers.
Docent Led Museum Tours Facilitators: Docents, Skirball Center Attendees will have the option of attending a docent-led museum tour during Session B or C. A sign-up sheet will be at the retreat registration table and attendance is based on a first-come, first-served basis. Relaxation/Mindfulness Facilitator: Amy Rosenblatt, University Counseling Services It Is Always Now: Mindfulness Creating Wellness This 60-minute workshop will provide an introduction to and review of mindfulness practice. The workshop will include discussion of various ways in which mindfulness practice can be utilized to decrease workrelated stress and increase feelings of wellness. The presenter will engage participants in a mindfulness practice as a means to demonstrate the material and concepts presented.
