Camden Public School 2018 P&C Committee Congratulations to the new P&C team for 2018, who were elected at last nights AGM. The team is very excited T and enthusiastic about working in partnership with the school community to support the wellbeing and education of every student. Below are the names and positions of the 2018 Camden Public School P&C Executive. The temporary fencing and scaffolding has now been removed. From tomorrow, families can pick up their K-2 and Support Unit children from outside the Support Unit classrooms and the courtyard in front of the Uniform shop. Sculptures Voluntary School Contributions at CPS Voluntary School Contributions are requested each year by families to assist with the purchase of additional resources. This event is an open water survival program, which aims to increase awareness of the dangers associated with a range of aquatic environments and promote safe behaviour. Newsletter Term 1 Week 6 Swimming Champions Congratulations to our 2018 Swimming Age Champions. Tayden, Arianna, Grace, Riley, Hunter, Mia, Ava and Tanah received their trophies last week. The house captains; Alex and Aaliyah, accepted the swimming house shield on behalf of Marsden House students. CPR and Anaphylaxis Training Last Wednesday evening, Royal Life Saving NSW visited the school. During the evening staff were trained in anaphylaxis awareness and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Good luck to Arianna who will swim at the upcoming South West Sydney carnival on Tuesday 13 March. Arianna will compete in the 50m freestyle, 200m IM and the 50m butterfly. Coles Vouchers Thank you to everyone who is supporting the Coles Sports for Schools 2018. Vouchers can be earned at all Coles Stores up until Tuesday 3 rd April, and can be either dropped into the Camden Public School box located in Coles Camden or to the box in the school foyer. hh Canteen Special Lunch Day On Thursday 22 nd March the canteen will be holding a special lunch day. Students will be able to choose from either:- Group 1 Ham and Cheese Sub/Water/Fruit/Popcorn or Group 2 Hot Dog/Popcorn/Popper/Treat. A note outlining the details was sent home with students today. Please return the note along with payment to Mrs Vella in the school canteen by Tuesday 20 th March, 2018.

Newsletter Term 1 Week 6 P&C Hot Cross Bun Fundraiser Thank you to all the families who have already returned their Hot Cross Bun orders. All orders are to be finalised by the 22 nd March. Families may either return the order form to the office clearly marked Hot Cross Bun Order with your student s name and class or alternatively drop the order form into the Uniform Shop on Tuesday and Friday mornings. Eftpos facilities are available at the Uniform Shop only. Great Community Spirit Well done to both Amelia (3/4W) and Lily (3/4G) who wore their Girl Guide uniforms on Thursday 22 February to acknowledge World Thinking Day. Both Amelia and Lily wanted to remind everyone to think about helping other people in Australia and around the world. Book Club Payments A new payment system will be in place for the next issue of the Scholastic Book Club Issue 2. Book Club Loop (Linked Online Ordering & Payment Platform) is now the only way books can be ordered and paid for. Cash and cheque payments will no longer be accepted at school. Attached to this newsletter is the Book Club Loop information sheet to guide parents through the 4 easy steps involved for ordering your child s books on line. Canteen - Specials of the Week Fantastic Writing Congratulations to both Hollie and Ethan (1/2V) who have started the year well and are producing some great pieces of writing. Week 6 Specials: Recess - Fruit Sticks & Yoghurt - $1.00 Fresh fruit cut into sticks served with a dollop of yoghurt. Lunch Mini Meatball Sub - $4.00 Sub served warm with delicious meatballs & cheese plus a popper. Week 7 Specials: Recess- Pasta Pot - $1.00 Pasta served with a delicious roma sauce & melted cheese in a cup Lunch Fish & Salad - $4.00 Delicious fish bites served with a garden salad & a bottle of water.
