On 16 February 2015, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) issued a notification announcing a roadmap for implementation of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) converged with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Ind AS are required to be adopted in a phased manner for the financial year beginning on or after 1 April 2016 with comparatives for the year ending 31 March 2016 for certain class of Indian companies. Diploma in IFRS (DipIFR) is an international qualification in IFRS developed by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), a leading professional accounting organisation. DipIFR course is designed to develop working knowledge on IFRS, providing an in-depth understanding of the concepts and principles of IFRS and their practical application. DipIFR qualification raises your professional knowledge of IFRS to the next level giving a competitive edge in the international marketplace. Objective of DipIFR program On completion of this program the participants will acquire: In-depth understanding of key IFRS principles and rules. Skills necessary for preparing financial statements under IFRS. Understanding key differences between Indian GAAP, IFRS and Ind AS. FinPro s DipIFR training program The program covers 10 days (75 hours) of interactive classroom training plus video tutorials (30 hours) on select IFRS topics. The classroom sessions will be held at weekends. Video tutorials will be provided on pen drive to be viewed at home. Each session will cover theoretical aspects of each standard and relevant practical issues. Mock examination shall be conducted to help participants prepare well for the examination. This training program will assist participants to appear for DipIFR examination to be conducted in December 2018 and June 2019. Why to study with FinPro? The pass mark is 50%. The examination is a three hour paper in two sections. It contains a mix of computational and discursive elements. Some questions adopt a scenario/case study approach. Section A includes a mainly computational question and Section B contains a mix of computational and discursive questions.
