EASTERN REGIONAL COMMITTEE NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR TEACHER EDUCATION BHUBANESWAR Rectification on proceedings of 240 th ERC Meeting held on 19 th 20 th May, 2017 Decision of the following institutions made in 240 th meeting of ERC to be read as corrected under: Sl.No. Item No. Content ER-240.1 Confirmation of the Proceedings of 239 th ERC meeting & related matter, if any, with the following ammendments/rectifications: (1) Sundaram College of Education, Plot No.4473, 4474, Vill/PO - Kusumgram, Tehsil/Taluka - Monteswar, Town/City - Burdwan, Dist - Bardhaman, West Bengal - 713422. (B.Ed.-Addl. Course) (Private) (University of Burdwan) (Code No. ERCAPP3927) In 238 th ERC Meeting (Part-3) held on 18 th 20 th April 2017, it was decided to refuse under section 15(3)(b) of NCTE Act, 1993 for granting recognition of B.Ed. course. But in 239 th ERC Meeting (Part-5) held on 28 th April - 2 May 2017, the Committee decided that VT be constituted. The decision of the Committee for constitution of VT is withdrawn and the decision of 238 th meeting is confirmed for issue of refusal order to the institution. In 239 th ERC Meeting (Part-5) held on 28 th April - 2 nd May 2017, the Committee decided that VT be constituted but in 238 th ERC Meeting (Part-3) held on 18 th 20 th April 2017, it was already decided to refuse under section 15(3)(b) of NCTE Act, 1993 for granting recognition of B.Ed. course The decision of the 239 th ERC meeting for constitution of VT is being withdrawn and the decision of 238 th meeting is confirmed and continues and decided to issue refusal order to the institution. (3) Hope Institute of Bengal D.El.Ed. Section, Plot No.630, 631, Street No.- Beldubi, Vill/PO- Beldubi, Tehsil/Taluka - Sub. Div. Howrah Sadar, Town/City - Howrah, Dist - Howrah, West Bengal - 711322. (D.El.Ed.) (Private) (ERCAPP3715). In 239 th ERC meeting (Part-1) held on 28 th April - 2 May 2017, formal recognition order u/c 7(16) was issued vide No. 52664 dated 30.04.2017 with 100 intake from the taken against the institution with a show cause notice mentioning that the institution submitted faculty list of existing B.Ed. course instead of D.El.Ed. course, which is not relevant, therefore, the Committee decided to rectify the decision and withdraw the SCN in respect of item No. 239.6.263. In 239 th ERC meeting (Part-1) held on 28 th April - 2 May 2017, formal recognition order u/c 7(16) was issued vide No. 52664 dated 30.04.2017 with 100 intake from the taken against the institution with a show cause notice mentioning that the institution submitted faculty list of existing B.Ed. course instead of D.El.Ed. course, which is irrelevant, therefore, the Committee decided to rectify the decision and withdraw the SCN in respect of item No. 239.6.263 and the decision of 239 th meeting (Part-1) is confirmed and continues. 1

(Private) (West Bengal Board of Primary Education) (ERCAPP2929). In 239 th ERC meeting (Part-4) held on 28 th April - 2 May 2017, formal recognition order u/c 7(16) was issued vide No. 53103 dated 02.05.2017 with 100 intake from the taken against the institution with a show cause notice mentioning that original FDRs of Rs. 5 lakhs & Rs. 7 lakhs in joint mode are not submitted, which is not relevant, therefore, the Committee decided to rectify the decision and withdraw the SCN in respect of item No. 239.6.266 In 239 th ERC meeting (Part-4) held on 28 th April - 2 May 2017, formal recognition order u/c 7(16) was issued vide No. 53103 dated 02.05.2017 with 100 intake from the taken against the institution with a show cause notice mentioning that original FDRs of Rs. 5 lakhs & Rs. 7 lakhs in joint mode are not submitted, which is already settled, therefore, the Committee decided to rectify the decision and withdraw the SCN in respect of item No. 239.6.266 and the decision of 239 th meeting (Part-4) is confirmed and continues. (Government) (West Bengal Board of Primary Education) (ERCAPP2150) (i) Submitted faculty list is less as per NCTE Regulation, 2014. (i) Submitted faculty list is less as per NCTE Regulation, 2014. (Private) (Magadh University) (ERCAPP3349) Formal recognition order under clause 7(16) of the NCTE Regulation 2014 for applied D.El.Ed. programme with an intake 100 (two basic units) from the academic session 2018-19 be issued to the institution. (Private) (Bihar School Examination Board & Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic & Persian University) (ERCAPP201646184) (ID No.8227) NCTE Hqrs. from time to time and VTR, the Committee discussed the matter in detail and decided as under: (i) NOC for the applied D.El.Ed. course issued on 25.05.2015. The institution is required to submit the NOC duly countersigned by the concerned affiliating body. (ii) Submitted building completion certificate is not in prescribed format duly approved by competent Govt. Engineer/Authority. NCTE Hqrs. from time to time and VTR, the Committee discussed the matter in detail and decided as under: (i) NOC for the applied D.El.Ed. course issued on 25.05.2015. The institution is required to submit the NOC duly countersigned by the concerned affiliating body for the current academic session. Cases 75. 240.12.3 B G Group of Educational and Research Institute, Plot No -115, 120 (Old), 180 (New), Vill- Simra (Bandh Bastauli) Mabbi, Po - Lalshahpur, Tehsil/Taluka - Bahadurpur, Town/City - Darbhanga, Dist - Darbhanga, Bihar 846005 (B.Ed.) (Private) (Lalit Narayan Mithila University) (ERCAPP28/2012) The institution was granted recognition for conducting B.Ed. course on 03.03.2015 with 100 intake from the academic session 2015-2016. A representation dated 28.11.2016 received from Chairman of the B G Group of Educational and Research Institute seeking closure/withdrawal of recognition of the B.Ed. programme and demanded for refund of the FDRs due to illness of the Chairman. The ERC in its 237 th meeting considered the matter and issued a letter to the institution on 18.04.2017 to submit an affidavit along with Resolution passed by the Governing Body of the Trust/Society. In response, the institution submitted reply vide letter Reference No. 29(SP)-2017 dated 01.05.2017 with an affidavit, copy of resolution and death certificate of earlier Chairman Late Kamal Prasad Singh. Now, the present Chairman Mrs. Gouri Singh requested to withdrawn the recognition of B.Ed. course and refund the FDRs. The recognition granted to the institution for B.Ed. course on 03.03.2015 with 100 intake from the academic session 2017-18 be withdrawn. Existing students will continue their academic session and no admission will be allowed from the academic session 2017-18 and FDRs will be return to the institution. The institution was granted recognition for conducting B.Ed. course on 03.03.2015 with 100 intake from the academic session 2015-2016. A representation dated 28.11.2016 received from Chairman of the B G Group of Educational and Research Institute seeking closure/withdrawal of recognition of the B.Ed. programme and demanded for refund of the FDRs due to illness of the Chairman. 4
The ERC in its 237 th meeting considered the matter and issued a letter to the institution on 18.04.2017 to submit an affidavit along with Resolution passed by the Governing Body of the Trust/Society. In response, the institution submitted reply vide letter Reference No. 29(SP)-2017 dated 01.05.2017 with an affidavit, copy of resolution and death certificate of earlier Chairman Late Kamal Prasad Singh. Now, the present Chairman Mrs. Gouri Singh requested to withdrawn the recognition of B.Ed. course and refund the FDRs. The request of the present Chairman is accepted and the recognition granted to the institution for B.Ed. course on 03.03.2015 vide Order No. 30708 with 100 intake be withdrawn from the academic session 2017-2018. Existing students will continue their academic session and no admission will be allowed from the academic session 2017-18 and FDRs will be returned back to the institution. 5
