CME 2014 DEPARTMENT OF ENT UPDATE IN OTORHINOLORYNGOLOGY - 2014 The Department of ENT organized a CME programme Update in Otorhinolaryngology 2014 on 3rd December 2014. The CME was attended by around 200 members of the institution faculty, PG s and under graduate students. The CME was inaugurated by a Welcome address by the Professor and HOD Dr. M.K. Srinivasan, The inauguration was done by the Dean Dr. K. Nithiyananthan and the key note address delivered by the Director of post graduate studies Dr. V. Venugopal.The Vice principal Prof.M.Chandrasekar, felicitated the function. The gold medal winner in the medal exam 2013 conducted by the Department of ENT was awarded to Miss. Eswari.N. by the Dean Dr. K. Nithiyananthan.. Dr.K.Muthubabu, Assistant Professor of ENT ended the inauguration session with a vote of thanks. The scientific session had 2 Intellectual well known speakers The 1 st speaker Professor Dr. Anthony Irudayarajan, who is at present Professor in the Prestigious Institute Of Otorhinolaryngology Stanley Medical College spoke about Innovations in ENT. The 2 nd speaker Dr. ( Major) Prasanna Kumar, Associate Professor of ENT, Senior Consult and ENT and head and Neck surgeon from Sri Ramachandra Medical College gave a talk on Larygotracheal stenosis and concluded the scientific session.

The 2 nd speaker Prof.Dr.Anthony Irudhayarajan,,M.S.D.LO, Professor of ENT, Dept of ENT, Stanley Medical college, Chennai presented Otosclerosis And the 3 rd speaker Dr.Mukundan Subramanian, Assistant Professor of ENT, Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Chennai gave a talk on Robotic Surgeries in ENT and concluded the scientific session.

CME CONDUCTED. UPDATE IN OTORHINOLARYNGOLOGY 2016 CONDUCTED ON 28 TH OF SEPTEMBER, 2016 The Department of ENT organized a CME programme Update in Otorhinolaryngology 2016 on 28 th of September 2016. The CME was attended by around 150 members of the institution, faculty, PG s and students. The CME was inaugurated by a Welcome address by the Professor and HOD Dr. M.K. Srinivasan. The inauguration was done by the Dean Dr.R.Srinivasan, and the key note address delivered by the Vice principal, Dr.M.Chandrasekar. Dean Dr. R.Srinivasan distributed Hearing aids to the needy on this occasion. Dr.Muthubabu, Associate Professor of ENT concluded the inauguration session by proposing the vote of thanks. The scientific session had 3 Intellectual well known speakers. The 1 st speaker Dr. Deepak Balasubramanian, M.S. (ENT), DNB, Mch (Head and Neck Oncology), Assistant Professor,Department of ENT, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi spoke about Current trends in Head and Neck Oncology and Reconstructive Surgery. The 2 nd speaker Dr. K.Murali M.D., Consultant Interventional Radiologist, MIOT, Chennai Former Professor of Radiology, SRMC spoke about Role of Interventional Radiology in ENT And the 3 rd speaker Dr. Suresh Mani, Assistant Professor of ENT, Meenakshi Medical College, Kanchipuram, gave a talk on Conservative Laryngeal Surgeries and concluded the scientific session. WORLD DEAFNESS DAY OBSERVATION WORLD DEAFNESS DAY was observed in the Dept of ENT. Dean Dr. R.Srinivasan distributed hearing aids to the needy to commomerate the day.
