THERE S ONLY ONE YOU ON THIS EARTH. And you have something to offer the world yourself. So who are you? Who are you becoming? How will your gifts, talents and pursuits make the world better? As a Christian university, we can help answer those questions. This is our commitment to you. THIS IS MNU.

WE ARE THINKERS. More than 35 academic programs and an average class size of 16 make for a robust academic life characterized by daily interaction with professors who care. All of our classes are taught by professors, not teaching assistants, and our undergraduates aren t competing with graduate students for their professors time and resources.

WE ARE PERFORMERS. MNU s Bell Cultural Events Center houses fine arts and performing arts classrooms, practice rooms and a state-of-the-art performance hall. It is here that students hone their talents and put them on display. And not just here: our choir has performed at New York City s Carnegie Hall!

WE ARE RESEARCHERS. We are committed to hands-on learning at MNU and not just in the labs. From servicelearning opportunities to learning through games to great internships and practicums in the Kansas City area, we re always looking for innovative ways to teach and learn.

WE ARE FANS. On most days of the school year, there s a game for one varsity team or another happening on MNU s campus. Our students love their Pioneers #feartheneer. And if you re a professional sports fan, you can t do much better than Kansas City. The Chiefs, Royals and Sporting KC all play a mere thirty minutes from campus. Whatever you re a fan of from sports to art to concerts to great food Kansas City has you covered.

WE ARE FRIENDS. You ll notice it the minute you walk on campus: MNU is one of the friendliest places in the world. That s because we value people, community and relationships above programs and processes. Our community of friends and colleagues is made up of students from thirty-five states and twenty countries.

WE ARE SERVANT- HEARTED. MNU has a culture of service. Our Passion to Serve projects have taken students to rural Haiti to build a soccer field, to Guatemala to build a clinic and to our neighbors in the Kansas City area to serve in a multitude of ways. Community service and mission trips keep our students and faculty in touch with the truth that there s a big world out there, and they have a lot to bring to it.

WE ARE ACHIEVERS. Our students are ready to launch. Recent graduates have gone on to careers with the Kansas City Chiefs, Yelp, Cerner and the US Army. During their years at MNU, students develop the skills and knowledge to succeed and the vision to see what real success looks like.

WE ARE TEAMMATES. Varsity athletes on thirteen teams make up almost 25% of MNU s student body. Their discipline, dedication and teamwork embody the culture of excellence that prevails throughout life at MNU.

WE ARE DRIVEN. For five years running, our nursing students have exceeded state and national pass rates on the NCLEX-RN test. 100% of all 2014 MNU preprofessional graduates are attending graduate schools including Baylor University and the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. In a tough hiring climate, many of our students have jobs before they even graduate.

WE ARE FAITHFUL. Faith is woven through everything we do at MNU. We teach, learn, perform, play, serve and work because the world is full of God s glory.
