Biology Curriculum Facts to All students seeking B.S. degrees in Chemistry, Physics, or Biology are recommended to complete a Foreign Language prior to full transfer to. Foreign Language is a pre-requisite for admissions into the College of Arts and Sciences. CHEM 121/123 is now a pre-requirement for BIOL 201/201L. students that complete BIO 1510/1592 (BIOL 201) and transfer to before completing CHEM 1710/1792 (CHEM 121/123) will not be able to advance in their Biology course sequence. Student must complete CHEM 121/123 in order to advance in BIOL sequence. BIO 1510/1592 remains equivalent to BIOL 201L. Biology IT 1010 o All students are eligible to challenge IT 1010. IT 1010 is not a B.S. requirement, but is a A.S. requirement. Foreign Language o Foreign Language is not a Biology Associates of Science requirement, but is part of s general core. MATH o MATH 160 and MATH 165 are 3 credit hour courses each. MATH 1710 and Math 1715 are credit hour courses each. Completion of MATH 160 and MATH 165 will earn student 7 A.S. total hours. Completion of MATH 1710 and MATH 1715 will earn student 76 A.S. total hours. CHEM 2710/2792 Organic Chemistry I o CHEM 2710/2792 Organic Chemistry II at will satisfy CHEM 301/303 Organic Chemistry I requirement, but the course will maintain lower level status and will not fulfill upper division degree requirements. CHEM 2710 is recommended to be taken at CHEM 301 and transferred back to to fulfill Chemistry A.S. requirements. By taking Organic Chemistry at student can fulfill both s upper division requirements and A.S. requirements. CHEM 302/30 Organic Chemistry II o CHEM 302/30 Organic Chemistry II is offered at CHEM 2810/2892. CHEM 2810/2892 Organic Chemistry II at will satisfy CHEM 302/30 Organic Chemistry II requirement, but the course will maintain lower level status and will not fulfill upper division degree requirements. Course is not required to be completed at ; it is optional to be completed at.
