This has been one of the hottest and driest summers in the Pacific Northwest! Pray for rain to end the Washington fires. Friend on Facebook Follow on Twitter Forward to a Friend Ulibarri Update for August 2015 - Waiting and Pondering. For a man's ways are before the eyes of the Lord, and he ponders all his paths. Proverbs 5:21 ESV Dear <<First Name>> : Representing ACTION The picture above is of Bridget and Charles with fellow ACTION missionaries, Paul and Jean Goodner and partner missionaries, Dave and Lynne Johnson of Mexican Medical Ministries during a SCM meeting we had recently to plan for an upcoming ministry trip to Mexico in February of 2016. We give Thanks too God for each and every one of you. Thank you for partnering, praying, helping and being there for us. We look forward to having you keep up with us now as we continue in ministry in the Seattle area and abroad. Hoping you are keeping cool this summer. It has been a HOT one! We have had a busy summer. It all started with us going to Malawi in May thru June for two weeks for a vision trip and to help with children s ministry and a discipleship/church planting workshop. We continue praying and pondering if this is where God wants us to go after Charles finishes school this year. We sense lots of changes are coming. So after Malawi we then went to the Calgary, Alberta, Canada area in July and did numerous things. The first was Charles and Bridget helped with our mission s international meeting, working behind the scenes with the computers to help the leaders of our mission as they discussed very important and historical things in this meeting. It was a great experience for us both to be a part. Our mission will have a new International Director in March and the leaders also voted on a new strategic plan for the mission to look forward to 2020. If you would like to donate funds for Charles' future trips with the SCM ministry you can donate specifically to his travel funds by changing the code on your donation from

Right after this meeting, ACTION had a 40 year anniversary celebration/mission conference where ACTION missionaries Please call or or write us if from all over the world came together to worship and fellowship you have any questions about our ministry trips. We would and encourage one another. It was fun because Bridget finally love to hear from you. got to meet many of the missionaries she communicates with and serves as her ministry! When that was over, we stayed in Canada and had training in permaculture (Webster s definition: an agricultural system or If you would like to partner with us in ministry please method that seeks to integrate human activity with natural click on the Link above to download or print the ecosystems), to learn how we can help teach these principles printable PDF file that you can fill out and send to our they can meet their physical needs, like having enough food all mission agency with your donation. surroundings so as to create highly efficient self-sustaining wherever we serve. With this we can help people learn ways year round in places like Malawi. It was a great time learning from ACTION missionary Martin Scholz, who is training in

Ulibarri Update - August 2015 ACTION fields about this. We received a certificate for the training. As you can see in one of the pictures below his front yard has been transformed into an edible yard. When we got back to the states, we got to spend a week with our son Micah, who came to Seattle to visit us. Charles had not seen him in over a year. We had fun visiting the Star Wars exhibit at the EMP Muesum in Seattle and visiting some beautiful places in Washington. We were blessed to have spent some time with our son.

Ulibarri Update - August 2015 After all that, during his school break, Charles also went to a training here in the Seattle area to learn more about solar system installation to also be able to help in areas that need that type of sustainability. While there he met a young man from Brazil, William. He is an engineering student and works in the solar industry; we got to share with him and hosted him for a night. As we are now back in the Seattle area, we are praying about our next steps for future overseas ministry. As for our future, when we were at these meeting in Canada, we were given more opportunities to think about to go serve God overseas once Charles finishes school. Charles is expecting to finish and graduate with his degree from Moody this December. We are in deep prayer about where God wants us to go and we want to be sensitive to HIS leading. PLEASE pray with us for God's clear direction. Another item that we are praying about is that Charles has been invited to go to three different places this November on a short-term ministry trip: Malawi, Equatorial Guinea or Ecuador.

The caveat is that all these ministry opportunities take place at the same time and he has to pick one to go on. In Malawi, he would have the opportunity to help install a solar system with a partner of Sonlight Power at a school in Malawi. In Equatorial Guinea, he has the opportunity to train student pastors in computer use to do online research and papers at the seminary there, but he would also like to do a workshop to train the pastors he had when we were there in the SCM - discipleship/church planting ministry. This seminary is right next door to where we used to live in EG, so we are familiar with it. The EG trip would be longer to accommodate all the training. If he went to Ecuador, this would be a PLD trip to train church leaders in a rural area. All these are important ministries; please pray for direction on this, and we would appreciate any financial help. If you would like to donate for travel funds please see the information on the left. Unfortunately we may not be able to go and do any ministry short-term or long-term as we are in dire need of more monthly support funds and have been for some time. Back in 2013, Charles had to spend the night in the hospital due to chest pains and we are in debt with this as well as in debt with other medical expenses and we have not really recovered. School is an expense and insurance is not helping cover much. As it turns out Bridget is now looking for part-time work apart from the ministry she does at ACTION because our financial situation is not good. However, our mission does not want us in debt to go overseas nor do they want us working rather than having donors. It is hard to share these things with you all, but we are really struggling and need some help. If you would like to know more about what our specific needs are please write or call us. We are asking and praying for additional monthly financial partners in ministry. We are praying for either 10 people or churches to give $100/month or 20 people or churches to give $50/month to help us meet our budget as faith based missionaries serving full-time in our mission office and ministry trips. In all we are most thankful to God that through those that He has called to faithfully give, we are surviving, but we do need to be able to do more ministry and prepare for overseas service, which will also increase our budget. Please pray to God about partnering with us in ministry monthly if you never have. <--- See the left part of this newsletter for information on how you can donate to this ministry.

On family news, our daughter Brianna has been going through a rough time herself and because we are having financial issues we are unable to help her. It is very difficult to see your children going through things and yet all you can do is pray. She was to be starting her last year at UTA (University of Texas at Arlington). However we have had some complications with her financial aid, and we pray it will all get worked out, but it seems that it is not going well and she may not be able to have school paid for this year. She also had problems with her cell phone and it is not working correctly. She is looking for a vehicle, since her car died this July. As you remember the car she had last year died and we found another old used car in June of 2014 that we thought would last her several years, but as it turned out it had issues and has since been sold to the junk yard. As of now she has been borrowing cars from friends, but really needs one of her own. So if you can put the word out if anyone has a good used car that they would like to give her or that she could buy for cheap please call or write us ASAP. In the mean time she is enjoying working at Starbucks to make rent and to save up for a car and school and will probably work this semester. Please pray for her spiritual life as well. Our son Micah has been transferred to another Wal-Mart and started working there this month. He is now working day-time hours, so he is glad to be back in the land of the living. Pray for wisdom for him at this new position. In all these things, we praise God for each of you and thank you for supporting us through these years. We ask that you continue praying for us in the coming months as we feel God will be directing us in a different direction. We covet your prayers! May God bless each of you and we pray God is blessing you and using you for HIS glory!
