VOCAL MUSIC INFO Chorus (Concert Choir) - open to all students in grades 9-12. No audition necessary. Multi-year participation permitted and encouraged. Co-curricular ensembles (Men s Choir, Women s Choir, Jazz Choir) meet Tuesday nights - must be in Chorus and/or Voice Class to audition Voice Class small group voice lessons open to all students. DISNEY 2019 To participate in the 2019 music department trip to Florida, all students Must be signed up for a large ensemble (Band, Orchestra, and/or Chorus) during the 2018-2019 school year (and/or participate in Marching Band for at least the year we plan to travel), and Must have been in Band (and/or Marching Band), Chorus, or Orchestra for at least one other year during their high school careers. Exceptions for students new to district in Sept. 2019

Ninth Grade Notes Introduction to Biological Science All courses meet the requirements for the NJ Biology End of Course Competency Testing All courses meet for 5 periods a week except Honors Biology Biological Science Biology Honors Biology Proficiency Assessment on 1/10 & 1/11 Honors Biology meets for 7 periods a week including two double periods. Music program and other electives wrap around the Honors Biology program Honors criteria on pg 17
Honors Biology Placement Assessment All students sit for assessment Multiple Choice and Open Ended (Free Response) Designed to assess a variety of cognitive skills such as: Data analysis Problem solving Critical thinking Ability to present arguments based on scientific evidence and principles Triple graded by HS Biology teachers Given 1/10 and 1/11. Results before end of school
