Founded by the Brigidine Sisters in 1966, Kildare College is situated at Holden Hill in the north-eastern suburbs of Adelaide and has a current enrolment of 465 students. Director of Digital Learning POR3 The Director of Digital Learning (DDL) is responsible to the Principal through the Deputy Principal for the leadership and development of digital technologies in the support of learning and wellbeing across the College. In conjunction with the Deputy Principal, the Director of Digital Learning (DDL) will have responsibility in the following areas: Spiritual Life of the College The DDL will work with the APRIM in: Ensuring the Brigidine ethos and Core Values permeate all aspects of the girls activities in the College. Witnessing the Catholic faith of the College. Demonstrating faith as an integral part of the mission of Kildare College. Providing students with meaningful faith formation and religious experiences. Learning Establish and develop Information, Communication & Technology (ICT) as an integral part of the College learning community. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with teachers and other staff involved in the teaching, learning and wellbeing of students. In conjunction with relevant staff evaluate hardware and software, provide recommendation to staff and coordinate software licences and inventories with Network Manager. Lead and develop appropriate professional learning for staff to facilitate integration of digital learning across Years 8 to 12. Lead and support teachers in the continuous improvement of pedagogy using digital technologies. Assist in the induction of new teaching staff. Work with colleagues to provide appropriate and contextually relevant opportunities for parents/carers to be involved in their daughter s learning. Model effective practice and support colleagues to implement inclusive strategies that engage and support all students. Support the learning of staff, students and parents in the implementation of the college s online learning environment. Initiate and take responsibility for implementing current school and/or system, curriculum and legislative requirements to ensure well-being and safety. Be responsible for the preparation of the budget for ICT submissions, and for the implementation and management of the approved budget. Keep abreast of developments and changes in digital technologies and to prepare plans and costing for future expansion when appropriate. Devise and implement plans and strategies for staff professional learning.
Sustain a high level of professional knowledge in Digital Learning. Participate in the ongoing development of the College ICT Strategic Plan. Investigate, research and implement new directions in ICT usage by all sectors of the College community. Curriculum Lead the integration of ICT in the curriculum framework at Kildare. Apply curriculum knowledge and teaching methods which facilitate successful learning for staff and students. Lead the development of ICT literacies for students and staff. Lead and support teachers to use ICT to individualise and personalise learning of students thus engaging with diversity support inclusiveness. Establish structures and processes to achieve a productive learning environment while responding to learner needs. Provide leadership in management and learning directions for the IT team. Lead a team of teachers and an education support officer to achieve best practice in pedagogies in learning programs. Pastoral Care With the Middle and Senior School Coordinators and House Leaders, ensure that the wellbeing for learning of the students in the College is planned, cohesive and developmentally appropriate. Assist the Leadership Team in the behaviour management of the students in line with SACCS Behaviour Education and Personal Responsibility Policy 2010 and the Kildare College Student Behaviour Management Policy. Assist the Principal in conducting interviews and College Tours for new enrolments. Administration Assist the Principal in strategic planning as well as development of required policies, procedures and guidelines for the College in ICT. Coordinate the professional development of teachers in regard to all ICT initiatives and programs and maintain records. Lead, manage and coordinate the online learning programme SEQTA. Provide SEQTA professional development and workshops for students, staff and parents. Work with the Director of Learning and Director of Enrichment on the implementation and delivery of student reports and all student testing for analysis of statistical data.
Communication and Promotion of Kildare Communicate with parents, staff and students in relation to the learning and wellbeing of students. Develop and nurture positive relationships with parents and caregivers. Liaise with SEQTA personnel. Regularly contribute articles to the school newsletter, the school yearbook and other publications which inform parents about Digital Learning at Kildare College and promote the students and staff of the College. Work with the relevant personnel at St Paul s College to facilitate the delivery of shared curriculum and co-curricular events where students from both schools can interact.
