Athletes If you are participating in a Lakota West Sport you MUST have 5 solid classes: Solid classes are any class other than PE. Solid classes are semester classes earning.5 credit. Eligibility IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE, YOU MUST HAVE BEEN ENROLLED IN AND PASSED 5 SOLID CLASSES THE PRECEDING GRADING PERIOD AND BE PASSING 5 SOLID CLASSES DURING THE CURRENT QUARTER/ SEMESTER. IT IS ADVISED THAT YOU MAINTAIN 5 SOLID CLASSES THE ENTIRE ACADEMIC SCHOOL YEAR. SOLIDS ARE HALF CREDIT (.5) EARNING SEMESTER COURSES ONE PE CLASS IS NOT CONSIDERED A SOLID. ****Talk to your guidance counselor for clarification. It is advised to have 5 solids the entire school year (6 solids is preferred). NCAA eligibility center If you anticipate participating in college sports you should be registering with the NCAA. ****Talk to your guidance counselor
How to register! All registration will be completed through the student s account in Home Access Center (HAC). Registration will begin Jan. 27 th Feb. 6 th. Teachers will be making recommendation beginning Jan. 17 th. Students should speak with their current teachers. You need to know your HAC log-in ID and password, please contact the guidance office. If you do not select your classes, someone will select them for you. Signed verification sheet due by February 24 th back to Guidance Office!
Course requests in HAC Select Course Requests from the menu Teacher Recommendations appear as blue hyperlinks above the Department. Teachers are making recommendations Jan. 17 th - 25 th. The recommendations may be kept or deleted. To remove a recommended course or select additional courses, click the Edit icon for the Department s courses you want to request

Requesting an Alternate Courses.. Click in the Request box next to the alternate course Use the dropdown list in the Alternate column to select Alternate to Any Course Click Save NOTE: If Alternate to This Course is selected, the course you choose will not be considered during the scheduling process.
Deleting a request.. Click the Add/Edit icon for the Department of the course you want to delete Uncheck the appropriate course (at the top of the list) Click Save

Teacher recommendations close on January 25, 2017. Talk to them about what class you should be taking next year! Reminder College Credit Plus + Credit Flexibility meeting at LWHS on Thursday, 1/19/2017 at 6:30 pm in the Theatre.
