announcement of Brexit is a boon for all visitors. LSC School Founded in 1975, LSC Stanton is based in beautiful Bayswater, a fashionable area of central London in Zone 1. The school is located on Queensway, a bustling cosmopolitan street, with many bars, restaurants and shops, including the famous Whiteleys shopping centre. It is also within walking distance of the well-known Kensington Palace, Kensington Gardens / Hyde Park and the worldfamous Portobello Road. Week-end trips (around 40) Sports related evening activities Courses English language courses: the basics Lesson length: 50 minutes Class size: Average 12 students (maximum 18) Schedule: you can choose either morning or afternoon classes Placement test: online prior to arrival and on first day of classes (7 different levels) Certificate of participation at the end of your stay Open access to the e-learning site Regular evaluation of your progress CELTA-qualified native English speakers Timetable: you can choose a morning or afternoon timetable depending on the programme: 09:00-12:00 or 13:00-16:00 (standard) 09:00-13:00 or 12:00-16:00 (semi-intensive) 09:00-14:00 (intensive) Courses on offer Standard English: 15, 20 or 25 lessons per week This course will give you a practical understanding of the English language and will take you all the way to fluency. The lessons cover the four core language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.

If you choose a course of 20 or 25 lessons per week, in addition to the 15- lesson core course, you can choose one or two elective modules to create the perfect study programme (see list of electives below). Language level: all levels Executive English: 15, 20 or 25 lessons per week This course is designed for students who need to use English in an international business environment. The teachers are carefully selected for their 'real world' experience. This helps them deal with the specific needs of students. If you choose a course of 20 or 25 lessons per week, in addition to the 15- lesson core Business English course, you can choose one or two elective modules (see list of electives below). Language entry level: Intermediate (B1+) Exam Preparation: Cambridge (FCE, CAE) or IELTS: 15, 20 or 25 lessons per week Minimum stay: 1 week for the IELTS and Cambridge exams The exam preparation courses are designed to help you obtain the best possible grade in your chosen exam. You will learn about how the exams work, what the examiners will be looking for and you will practise using the types of questions you will see in the exam. If you choose a course of 20 or 25 lessons per week, in addition to the 15- lesson core Exam Preparation Course, you can choose one or two elective modules (see list of electives below). Language entry level: FCE: upper intermediate (B2); CAE : Advanced (C1); IELTS: Intermediate (B1) Elective modules (5 hours per week each)

Conversation & pronunciation: develop your communication skills Writing and grammar: study different styles of writing and become more precise and eloquent in your written skills British cultural studies: study British history, the media, art and music Academic English: for those looking to do masters at university, how to take notes, how to summarise information, the structure of a dissertation, how to research and how to make presentations English for business: develop your CV and cover letter, how to write emails, interview language and how to present yourself, how to look for work Accommodation Accommodation is NOT mandatory if you already have somewhere to stay in London. Homestay (Ages 16+) Shared room, shared bathroom, breakfast, Zone 4-5 Distance to school: the families usually live in residential areas within 40 to 60 minutes to the school by public transport. Optional extras: Zones closer to th school (Zone 2 - max. 25 minutes from school & Zone 3 - max. 40 minutes from school) Single room Half-board (compulsory for students under 18) Private bathroom Note : shared room available only for students travelling together Practical information: Bedding and towels provided Possibility of using the family's washing facilities (they will usually give you a specific day to do your laundry or tell you when their laundry day is)

Student residence (18+) We offer a choice of residence accommodation from standard to superior depending on your budget.
