BLRWW club membership is quickly approaching 75! That s 75 active women; we have nearly 30 incredible associate members also! Let s keep growing and talking with folks about Republican candidates and philosophy. This is such an important year in politics. We all want to see a Republican at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Be sure to invite your friends, family, and neighbors to join us on the third Thursday of every month for our regular meetings. We also need you to volunteer for a committee. Extra hands are always welcome to help set up and take down from our meetings. We are also in full swing planning the awesome Freedom Celebration for June 25, as well as the Red Boot Soiree on October 8. If you have several hours or just five minutes, let us know how you would like to help out by emailing info@blrww.com. Please be sure to attend our lunch meeting on April 21. We will be voting on Bylaws amendments. In order to vote on these Bylaws, we must have 2/3 of our regular members present. Longtime and New members are encouraged to attend this important meeting. You can RSVP with Elane at Elane.Hardaway@sbcglobal.net. The lunch is on May 13 and the cost is $73. Email us at info@blrww.com by April 8 so that we can submit our ticket orders together and have seats at the same table. There is a lot happening and fun ways to get involved! We are so glad each of you joined BLRWW and we look forward seeing you at our next event. Republican Women can get it done! Don t Forget To Turn In Your Volunteer Hours!

The April Meeting will include a vote on our By-Laws additions/changes From TFRW - Each club must now ADD THE FOLLOWING to their by-laws under Article III - Policy. 1. In the section entitled "Candidate Endorsement," please add to the end of that section: No candidate shall use the TFRW logo in any political advertising, and any political advertising shall contain the following disclaimer: "This endorsement is given by the individual(s) only, NOT the Texas Federation of Republican Women." 2. Add a NEW section, and number accordingly, that states the following: Candidate Fairness: After the end of the filing period for any office and ending the day after the final election for that office, it is the policy of TFRW that all Republican candidates for that office shall be treated fairly and equitably. When one Republican candidate for an office is invited to speak at a Federation or club meeting, then all Republican candidates for that office shall be offered equal presentation time at the same meeting or another meeting before the election. From your BLRWW board recommendations Article VIII Nominations and Elections Section 1. Nominations A. A nominating committee of 7, at least 3 of whom shall not be a member of the Executive Board, shall be elected by the membership at the May meeting. The Nominating Committee shall elect its chairman from one of its own number. A plurality vote shall elect the members of the committee. Please review these, attend the April meeting, and be ready to vote! Remember! A two-third majority of members is necessary to approve the bylaws. Please come and please vote! From Texas Federation of Republican Women As a member of Bush Legacy, you are also a member of Texas Federation of Republican Women AND Nation Federation of Republican Women. Just like in Texas, NFRW will soon be announcing new and exciting plans for 2016 and beyond! NFRW's goals mirror our TFRW goals and together we will "Make it Happen!" Please visit NFRW's website (http://www.nfrw.org/) and login to the member center. Using the same email address as your membership form, create a password, and instantly be connected to the many NFRW resources! And, believe me the resources and amazing!
