Homework Policy (see board policy 6154 in student handbook) Homework is an important part of introduction to medical terminology. It is important to read the textbook, study the vocabulary terms, answer questions from the book and worksheets. Do not try to rush through it and get it done in class or think that you will have time to finish it the day it is due. The purpose of homework is to practice what you have been taught in class. It is vital that you do the homework and study for tests and quizzes to do well in biology. Late work will not be accepted! You are responsible for keeping yourself organized by writing down and doing your assignments on time. Grading Policy How will I be graded? One of the most important parts of your grade is your coursework. It must be neat, legible and written in dark blue or black ink (pencil is fine too). You will need to keep all of your coursework in your notebook. Your notebook must be neat, organized, and complete. The notebook is extremely easy to maintain, please remember its importance. Notebook: Not all assignments are collected for grading; some assignments will be given credit in the notebook only. Everything must be kept in chronological order. Your notebook should be organized with the first assignment we did (this course description) and ending with the most recent assignment. Grades: Based on tests, classwork, quizzes, and participation. 3
