Welcome back, everyone. I hope everyone had a great spring break. We only have 9 ½ weeks of school left. That is 9 Mondays. Wow. Time will fly by and the school year will be done before we know it. We still have some very important work left to do. The weather will be warmer, the sun will be shining longer at night, and students will want to play outside after school. We encourage all of it. We are looking for help from you as we have to complete important state standardized testing that is used to determine our Wisconsin State Report Card. Below are some events on our calendar. Wisconsin Forward Testing Parents, thank you for working with us to have your child in school for our Wisconsin Forward testing. The students are really taking this test seriously. We appreciate your partnership with this important standardized test. We will continue to test students until May 4, 208. MAP (Measure of Academic Progress) Starting April 8, once students finish their Wisconsin Forward testing, they will test reading and math with MAPs. Thank you for working with your teacher to schedule appointments outside the testing blocks. Interact/Student Council The Interact Club and the Student Council will be teaming together to beautify the Brompton property. We will collaboratively work to spruce up the burm outside Door 7 and create a beautiful floral garden around our newly installed monument sign. The planning will take place during our meetings. The actual work will be on a Saturday morning. Do you have a green thumb and a desire to give us a hand on a Saturday in spring? Contact Mrs. Loewen for details. Thank you and have a great week.

The BCP is looking for volunteers to help run the following clubs in the 208-209 school year: - BEES Club - 3-5 Art Club Without a leader in place, sadly these activities will no longer be offered to our Brompton families this fall. The volunteers heading up these clubs this year have graciously offered to "mentor" any interested volunteer through the end of this year, as they transition to the new role next fall. Please feel free to reach out to any member of the BCP Exec board if you are interested or have any questions about these clubs. Do you have a special talent or skill that YOU would like to share with the students? (Photography? School Newspaper? Friendship Club? Drama? Music? Dance?) Have YOU thought about starting a club of your own? A HUGE thank you for the current volunteers for your time and dedication... these clubs are an amazing opportunity for our Brompton children! Just a reminder that we are still accepting nominations for the THREE open positions on the BCP Executive Board, with the hopes of electing parents into these roles at our next parent meeting in May. If you know someone who you think would be a good fit- or are interested yourself- please let us know! We would LOVE to end the year with a full and complete board in place!!! The duties and responsibilities of each of these positions are outlined in the BCP bylaws on the Brompton webpage. The open positions are as follows: - Vice President (2 year term) - Treasurer (2 year term) - Fundraising Chair ( year term) Mark your calendars for these awesome upcoming events: * Saturday, 4/2: Mom's Night Out Need a night out to relax and recharge? Come join us for Brompton's Mom Night Out! Snack, chat, and PAINT! Doors open at 5:30 for light snacking and socializing... Painting instruction begins at 6:00 sharp! Feel free to bring a friend (event open to those 8 years and older) and a dish to pass! Cost is $35 and includes a light potluck dinner, painting supplies, a chance to win a doorprize, and an evening of great company! Attendees MUST click the link below to reserve a spot and register for the event! https://www.pinotspalette.com/pleasant-prairie/ event/230629 * Friday, 5/4: Father Daughter Dance The theme of this year's dance is "To The Moon and Back." Tickets will be $20/couple ($5 each additional daughter) and is open to all Brompton girls and their dads! The event will be held at Mahone Middle School from 6:30-8:30 pm... Watch for formal invitations soon! Interested in helping out? Join us for the next planning meeting to be held on Wednesday, April at 6pm in the Brompton Cafeteria. Please direct any questions to Christina Scarbalis (scizzorhappy4@gmail.com) *Monday, 5/4: BCP Meeting This will be our FINAL BCP Community Meeting for the 207-8 school year. Please plan to join us as we (hopefully!) elect our final three officers to the Executive Board. The meeting, as always, will begin at 6pm in the Brompton cafeteria, and free childcare will be provided! * Saturday, 5/9: Mother Son Bowling This will be held from - 3pm at GRC on Green Bay Road and is open to all Brompton boys and their moms! Cost is $0 per person, and includes shoe rental, pizza, soda, and dessert! More information will be sent home in upcoming weeks. Thank you all for your continued support... and helping to build a strong and connected Brompton community!
