Matrix Grade (Unreserved- 03, OBC-1) in the required subject or Post Graduate Diploma in Medicine/Community Medicine/ Pediatrics/Obstetrics & Gynecology/ Microbiology with two years R & D/teaching experience required after Post Graduate Diploma. MBBS degree recognized by MCI or equivalent degree from recognized University with 4 years R&D/Teaching experience in the required subject after MBBS Degree. First class Master s degree in Bio- Chemistry/Biotechnology from a 2nd Class M.Sc.+ Ph.D. in. Bio- Chemistry/Biotechnology from a. subjects in recognized institute(s). iii. Matrix Grade Reserved for person with Hearing Disability-01 First class Master s degree in Zoology or Entomology from a 2nd Class Master s degree in Zoology or Entomology with Ph.D. in relevant subject from a. es: PhD degree in relevant subjects shall be treated equivalent to three years experience respectively. Desirable Qualifications: (i) Doctorate in relevant subject from recognized Institute(s) with first class relevant degree. (ii)additional Post doctoral in relevant in recognized institute. experience in relevant subject after obtaining essential qualification. Job Requirement: To work in the field of Vector Biology and to assist in the research activities of the Centre. 6. Scientist B (Medical)- 1. Age relaxation. Rs. Matrix Grade One Post (Reserved for OBC) (i) MBBS degree recognized by MCI or equivalent degree from recognized University with 2 years experience. Desirable qualifications: (i) MD from a recognized university. (ii) Additional Post doctoral in relevant subject in recognized institute. experience in relevant subject after obtaining essential qualification. To work on public health importance and to assist in Centre s research activities.
i. 5 years of age relaxation will be given for ST candidates against the reserve post for ST and 3 years age relaxation will be given for OBC candidates against the post reserved post OBC candidates. Five years relaxation will be given Government servants and 10 years for Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates. 2. Other Service Conditions: i. Allowances as per Central Government Rules are admissible on the above mentioned pay scale ii. Benefits of new restructured defined contributory Pension system are admissible as per the provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECB & PR Division), ification No.5/7/2003-ECB & PR dated 22.12.2003 effective from 1.1.2004. iii. Applications from employees working in Central/State Govt. Departments/Public Sector Undertakings and Govt. Funded research agencies must be forwarded through proper channel. Advance copies of application will be considered subject to the conditions that a No Objection Certificate from the employer is produced at the time of written test. IV. Private practice is not allowed, however, non-practicing allowance is admissible to medical graduates only as per rule. 3. Application fee: IPO/Demand Draft 500/- (Rupees five Hundred only) payable in favour of The Director, Desert Medicine Research Centre, payable at Jodhpur should be enclosed along with application and should reach to this office on or before closing date. The SC/ST/Women/physically handicapped candidates (PH)/Ex-Servicemen are exempted from the application fee. All other / ICMR employees are not exempted from the payment of application fee. Selection Procedure: Written examination of the eligible candidates will be taken; candidates will be called for personal discussion/ interview on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination and marks for publication, experience, awards etc. The final selection will be as per criteria adopted by ICMR and decision of the Director General, ICMR will be final in this regards Written Test: The written test would be of 100 marks consisting of 100 objective/ MCQ type questions of one mark each for the correct answer. The final score will be computed for a maximum of 40 marks based on the marks obtained in the written test of 100 marks. For each wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted. Out of 100 questions, 90 questions will be objective/ MCQ type and 10 objective/ MCQ for analytical skills. a. Level of questions will be M. Sc level. b. D./M.D. degree in shall be treated equivalent to three years experience. Candidates with Ph.D./M.D. degree will be preferred for direct recruitment. ii. Candidates called for personal discussion will be paid a 2nd Class rail fare by the shortest route, subject to production of documents along with proof of travel. Local transportation charges shall however be borne by the candidates themselves. iii. The post is with all India transfer liability under the Council.
