Thank you for your interest in Donelson Christian Academy. This admissions packet is designed to acquaint you with our exemplary college preparatory school and its diverse programs. At Donelson Christian Academy we encourage each child to reach his full potential by providing Christian principles for living as well as a strong academic curriculum. Our rich Christian heritage includes emphasis on the educational, spiritual, and physical needs of our children, challenging students at all levels. Each administrator, teacher, and member of the supporting staff has a genuine interest in our students and desire to offer the best education available. DCA works to maintain an environment of caring support which encourages the academic and personal growth of its students. When considering an application, the admissions committee takes into account many factors, including academic records, achievement test scores, teacher recommendations, and previous school experiences. Motivation and attitude toward learning are also important considerations. Most importantly, we are looking for children who can be successful at DCA. We have been truly blessed at Donelson Christian Academy, and we are excited about the future of our school. As parents, we naturally want the very best for our children, and this is especially true when it comes to their education. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of this important decision. Please contact the admissions office if we can assist you in any way. Sincerely, Becky A. Rothman Director of Admissions BAR/br Enclosures

Financial Aid packets may be obtained from the Admissions Office during the month of January. Completed packets should be sent directly to School and Student Services for Financial Aid in Princeton, New Jersey. DCA works directly with this company in determining the amount of financial aid for which a family is qualified. After reviewing the information, the Financial Aid Committee will determine the amount, if any, to be awarded. It is the policy of Donelson Christian Academy that all students entering K4 must be four years of age on or before September 30 of the year they plan to attend. Likewise, students entering K5 and first grade must be 5 and 6 respectively on or before September 30 of the year they plan to attend. Donelson Christian Academy welcomes students of any race, color, nationality, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate in the administration of its educational and admissions policies, financial aid program, athletic program or other school programs. However, as a Christian school, we seek primarily to serve those students whose parents want a Christian education for their child.

Parental Support of Philosophy and Policies Please read the statements below concerning some of the philosophies and policies of Donelson Christian Academy. After carefully reviewing them, please sign below. 1. Donelson Christian Academy believes that learning is important for the achievement of a student; however, in addition to academics, a student s growth in areas of service, leadership, character, and a positive attitude are necessary for a well-balanced school experience. 2. Donelson Christian Academy believes a student s dress should be appropriate to the activity in which he/she is engaged. Students attending classes will wear Parker uniforms. 3. Donelson Christian Academy is a family-oriented school and encourages parents to be involved in the educational process. 4. Donelson Christian Academy students are not permitted to use or possess alcoholic beverages, tobacco, or harmful drugs at any time. 5. Donelson Christian Academy values truthfulness and integrity above strict observance of rules, and that honesty must be the basis of our working relationship with your child. 6. Donelson Christian Academy depends upon the generosity of parents, alumni, grandparents, friends, businesses, and corporations to help provide the opportunity to develop and implement new programs. Because tuition alone does not cover the cost of educating a student, a successful Annual Fund Campaign is necessary to augment tuition. All parents are encouraged to support the Annual Fund Campaign. 7. It is understood that the school has the right to accept or reject a student as it deems advisable. 8. Donelson Christian Academy has a strong Christian discipline program and it is administered by the faculty and administration with close communication with the parent or guardian. As parent/guardian of this student, I agree to cooperate with Donelson Christian Academy in the enforcement of the rules and regulations of the school and to meet the terms of the enrollment contract regarding expenses and business details. All withdrawals from the school will be discussed with the appropriate principal, and a withdrawal statement must be signed to facilitate release of grades and other materials.
