Admissions Criteria Degree equivalent to UBC 4 year Bachelor s Equivalent to 4 years of study with B+ average Canadian and US institutions, all 3 rd and 4 th year level coursework International institutions, all courses Three reference letters Letter of intent (LOI) Curriculum vitae (CV) English proficiency (TOEFL [min. 100], IELTS [min. 7.0]) 18
Quantitative Admission Requirements Required due to emphasis on statistics and epidemiology Undergraduate statistics or calculus course with B+ or higher OR GRE (153 verbal/ 153 quantitative) International students recommended to take GRE http://tiny.cc/spphquantitative 19
MPH Dual Degree Programs MPH and Master of Science in Nursing Must be registered as a nurse with a bachelor s degree Current member of College of Registered Nurses of BC or eligible to apply MPH and Diploma in Dental Public Health Must hold a DMD or its equivalent from a recognized university, a degree in dental hygiene, or a dental hygiene diploma from an accredited program with a baccalaureate degree or a dental hygiene degree 20
CV and Letter of Intent (LOI) Put everything related to public health in CV, including paid work, volunteering, personal projects, research, publications, coursework etc. Tell a story with LOI, explain why you want a UBC MPH degree, what you can contribute, and what your goals are Word limit for LOI is 700 words 21
