Annapolis Watercolor Club May 2015 PRESIDENT'S VIEWPOINT Well, spring has sprung and life is good. Thank you to all who brought something for our spring fling meeting whether it was a painting to be critiqued or a snack for the event. Also, a big THANK YOU to Sue Corrigan-Yo for setting up and for those of you who came early to help. I got a lot of feedback from members that brought a painting concerning the critique and Dave Lawson. The reviews were great! He touched base on many interesting points for each painting, and allowed us to see the good and the not so good aspects of the paintings. For those of you who went to New York with the club, I hope you had a great time because I know I did. The weather was fabulous and the paintings were amazing. Yes, AMAZING! Sue Svenson did a great job putting this together. There were no glitches or hiccups to slow us down or confuse the group. Julie Dunard, you picked the right person to take on this huge task of putting the annual New York trip together. Thank you to you both. Pictures of the Spring Fling and the New York trip will be on the website soon. After all these years of uploading photos to our site, it s time to clean out the old ones and put the new ones in as soon as possible. I hope all are finally enjoying the nice weather and getting ready for our exhibitions in the next couple of months. The due dates for entries are coming up soon so get ready and start sending in your submissions. We have Art Barn due on May 19th. Also, WORKSHOPS, Brenda Kidera s workshop is on June 6th, deadline is on May 23rd. You can get all this information either online or in our newsletter. OR give us a call, our numbers are on the website and also in the newsletter. Don t be shy, I love to hear from our members.
