Faculty of Medical Sciences, Tabriz Branch, Islamic Azad University History In 1982, Tabriz Branch of Islamic Azad University was founded. It was the first branch of Islamic Azad University. Faculty of Medical Sciences was established in 1985 by admitting students in Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery and Laboratory Sciences. Since October 2015, it has been approved that the faculty can hold courses in Dentistry, Surgical Technologist, and Anesthesia. Currently, about 2000 students are studying in seven different medical fields. Medical Sciences Faculty of Tabriz Branch is one of the most well-equipped and dynamic branches of IAU.
