No. CEE/4050/2016/KEAM-2017/TA1 Government of Kerala Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations Housing Board Buildings, Santhi Nagar, - 695 001 NOTIFICATION ADMISSION TO MBBS/BDS COURSES-2017 TIME SCHEDULE AND GUIDELINES ISSUED In compliance to the interim order dated 22.08.2017 of the Hon ble High Court of Kerala on WP(C) No. 22117/2017(L) & connected cases and as per GO(Rt) No. 2343/2017/H&FWD dated 23.08.2017, the detailed time schedule of activities related to the allotment/admission to MBBS/BDS courses in the State and the Guidelines for the same are published herewith. The vacant seats remaining in MBBS/BDS courses due to non-payment of fee after the closure of time period for remittance of fee consequent to the allotment published on 19.08.2017, ie, 5 pm on 24.08.2017 has been notified in the website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (www.cee.kerala.gov.in). The same will also be notified in the website of the Colleges concerned. As per the orders of the Hon ble High Court dated 22.08.2017, one more round of online allotment shall be done in the case of MBBS/BDS courses on 27.08.2017. Candidates will be given opportunity from 25.08.2017 to 26.08.2017, 4 pm through the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in to re-arrange their existing higher order options/delete their unwanted options and to file fresh options to the following Private Self Financing Medical colleges viz. MES Medical College, Malappuram and Dr. Somervell Memorial CSI Medical College,, for which allotment has not been done on 19.08.2017. In the circumstances following the orders of Hon ble High Court dated 22.08.2017, the higher options of those candidates who have not remitted the fees before 5 pm on 24.08.2017 have been retained for the next round of allotment. The Registrar, KUHS has informed that students can be allotted to Karuna Medical College, Palakkad and Kannur Medical College, Anjarakkandi, Kannur for the year 2017-18 and also informed that the status of affiliation of Malabar Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, Kozhikode and SUT Academy of Medical Sciences, will be intimated after the meeting of the Governing Council scheduled to be held on 25.08.2017. In these circumstances, candidates will be given the facility to file fresh options to the above 4 colleges also. The allotment to Malabar Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, Kozhikode and SUT Academy of Medical Sciences, will be subject to the receipt of affiliation orders from KUHS. After considering the options existing up to 4 pm on 26.08.2017, next round of allotment shall be published in the evening on 27.08.2017. All the students getting allotment to MBBS/BDS courses in the allotment to be published on 27.08.2017 shall have to present themselves with required fee and all original documents at the Old Auditorium inside Government Medical College Campus, on 28 th or 29 th August 2017 for taking admission. Those who are satisfied with their present allotment and do not want to be considered for their existing higher options shall have to delete their higher order options before 4 pm on 26.08.2017 and should report for joining at Old Auditorium inside Government Medical College Campus, on 28 th or 29 th August 2017 with all the documents. Documents to be submitted at the time of Admission Candidates who get allotment and report for admission on 28.08.2017 & 29.08.2017 shall have to submit the following documents in original. a. Certificate to prove date of birth. b. Transfer Certificate from the Institution last attended and Conduct Certificate.

c. Original mark list of the qualifying examination (Higher Secondary or equivalent) and the Pass certificate of the qualifying examination (if issued). d. Eligibility certificate from any University in Kerala, in the case of candidates who have passed a qualifying examination other than Higher Secondary Examination/Vocational Higher Secondary Examination conducted by Government of Kerala or the examination conducted by CBSE and CISCE. e. Migration Certificate, if applicable. f. Physical Fitness Certificate in the relevant format given in Annexure XVII (a) or XVII (b) of the Prospectus 2017. g. Receipt of fee remitted. h. Hence, these students also have to remit fee at par with other students at the time of admission. The fees shown above are provisional and subject to the final decision of the Hon ble Courts/AFRC. All the Medical/Dental college authorities shall be present at the Old Auditorium for completing the admission procedure. Candidates who do not take admission before the respective college authorities present in the Old Auditorium before 4 pm on 29.08.2017 shall lose their allotment. The vacant seats still remaining after 4 pm on 29.08.2017 shall be filled up through a Spot Admission to be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations at Old Auditorium inside Government Medical College Campus, on 30 th and 31 st of August 2017. The Spot Admission will be for filling up the vacant seats in MBBS/BDS courses only. Candidates who get

Sl. No. allotment to MBBS/BDS courses in Spot Admission shall have to join the allotted colleges then and there itself, after remitting the required fee as above. During Spot Admission also all the Medical/Dental college authorities shall be present at the venue of the Spot Admission for completing the admission procedure. Candidates who seek admission during the Spot Admission scheduled to be held on 30 th & and 31 st of August 2017 are also directed to submit the originals of all the documents mentioned above for taking admission along with Demand Draft for the requisite amount and Bank Guarantee/Bond (if applicable). Guidelines for Spot Admission (i) Students admitted in a Government College for a course shall not be eligible to attend Spot Admission to another Government College for the same course. (ii) Transfer between two Private Self Financing Colleges shall not be permitted for the same course and for the same fee structure during Spot Admission. (iii) Candidate admitted in a Government Controlled Self Financing Medical college is allowed to participate in Spot Admission for a Government College or a Private Self Financing College for any course. (iv) Transfer from NRI seat to Government/Minority seat shall be permitted between two Self Financing colleges or in the same college, even if it is for the same course. (v) If seats are left vacant under NRI open quota in non-minority colleges, the same will be converted to State Merit Quota. (vi) If seats are left vacant under NRI minority community quota, the same will be converted to NRI open merit quota. If seats become still unavailed, it will be converted to management minority quota seats. If the seats still remain vacant, the same will be converted to State Merit Quota. Online registration for candidates outside Kerala Certain MBBS seats in the following colleges are reserved for candidates outside Kerala who are not already registered candidates under KEAM 2017, for the respective categories. Those who seek admission to such seats shall have to register online through the website of Commissioner for Entrance Examinations www.cee.kerala.gov.in from 28.08.2017 to 29.08.2017, 5 pm. The allotment to these seats shall be done in the Spot Admission to be held on 30 th and 31 st of August 2017. During online registration, they will be issued with a Spot Admission Slip which can be downloaded from the webpage. Such candidates are required to be present during the Spot Admission along with the Spot Admission Slip, original documents to prove educational qualifications, Transfer Certificate, documents to prove minority community status and the required documents to prove NRI claims (see office notifications dated 22.07.2017 & 31.07.2017). Online registration for Spot Admission Candidates who wish to participate in the Spot Admission process to be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations at shall have to register online through the website of Commissioner for Entrance Examinations www.cee.kerala.gov.in from 28.08.2017 to 29.08.2017, 5 pm. Such candidates will be issued with a Spot Admission Slip which can be downloaded from the webpage. Candidates who produce the Spot Admission Slip alone shall be permitted to participate in the Spot Admission. Candidates possessing Transfer Certificate and original documents to prove educational qualifications alone shall be permitted to attend the Spot Admission. Admission of Candidates to Karuna Medical College, Palakkad as per the orders of Hon ble Supreme Court dated 22.03.2017 The Hon ble Supreme Court vide its order dated 22.03.2017 in SLP(C) No. 32580-32581 of 2016 have ordered to admit the 30 students found eligible by ASC in case of Karuna Medical College, Palakkad who have been illegally deprived of their admission in spite of being meritorious, in the next academic session 2017-18. The admission of these 30 candidates shall be done on 28.08.2017 and 29.08.2017 at the Old Auditorium inside Government Medical College Campus,. Hence these 30 candidates shall have to be present on the above dates and venue for completing the admission procedure with all the relevant documents to prove their claim and the requisite fee as shown in the table above. The non-join vacancies as on 29.08.2017, 4 pm shall be deemed as vacant seats and will be filled up in the Spot Admission on 30 th & 31 st of August 2017. Important: 1. The Online allotment and Spot Admission have been scheduled in compliance with the orders of the Hon ble High Court of Kerala dated 22.08.2017 so as to complete the entire admissions to the Medical courses by 31 st August 2017. Keeping in view of the Bank Holidays and other eventualities, candidates are directed to secure the Demand Drafts and Bank Guarantees for the respective amounts at the earliest, so as to be submitted as and when required. The students who are not in possession of the requisite fee as Demand Draft and Bank Guarantee/Bond (as applicable) shall not be given admission to the courses at any case. 2. The joining of the candidates after the allotment to be published on 27.08.2017 is scheduled to be held on 28 th and 29 th of August 2017. 28 th of August 2017 being a Calendar Holiday, all the Educational institutions including Technical Institutions and Arts & Science colleges under the department of Higher Education and the Department of Health & Family Welfare are given strict orders to function on 28 th August 2017 so as to facilitate the issue of Transfer Certificate and other documents to the already admitted candidates.
