Register for a Class or WBT Depending on your position, you may be registering yourself in classes, or you may be registering others from your organization in classes or both. The steps are basically the same in all instances with some minor differences as you move through the registration process. These differences are defined in this document at the appropriate points they occur. Let s begin! Login 1. Click HERE to go to the McKesson Knowledge-Rx website, where you can log in directly to the Student Portal. If the link does not work, please type http://ces.mckesson.com/portal in your browser. 2. Type your email address and password into the blue Student Portal Log In box and click the Log In button. Page 2 of 12
Find Training 1. Find the course, for which you wish to submit a registration for yourself or others, using one of the three methods described below. 1. If course code is known, enter it in the Find Training search box, or 2. Select a Product Line link for a list of courses for that product line, or 3. Select the Find Training tab menu near the top of the screen. For a list of courses by course type, select one of the course type search links shown below from the next screen under Course Type. ) e-learning from your desktop, ) Distance Learning with a live instructor, or ) Instructor-led Classroom training. You will need to repeat steps 3-6 until you have selected all the courses you wish to register for. Page 3 of 12
2. Once you have selected the search results for the course in which you wish to register, the following screen will display. Click on the course name active link to view the course description and available class dates. Example 1 is a classroom course. Example 2 is a WBT course. Register for classes Add to cart: Now that you have found the course you want, it is time to choose the class you wish to attend or register others in by selecting Add to cart. Example 1a is for a classroom course and Example 2a is for a WBT course. Example 1a: Classroom Course Below the classroom course description you will find a list of available classes for the selected course. Select Add to cart for the class date you wish to register in. Example 2a: WBT Course WBT courses do not have classes and can start whenever you would like to start. Select Add to cart for the WBT course you wish to register in. Page 5 of 12
1. Your Shopping Cart will display as below, providing the course (or courses) you have selected to register in. Example 1b is for a classroom course and Example 2b is for a WBT course. You will notice that WBT courses look slightly different since Location, Date, and Time are not applicable. Example 1b: Classroom Course Example 2b: WBT Course Page 6 of 12
Training Shopping Cart: 2. The yellow box in the Training Shopping Cart contains instructions for registering yourself or others for training. The first item contains a link that will take you back to the Find Training page so you can continue selecting courses to add to your shopping cart. Details on the second two items are found in the next step (#4). NOTE: If you find a course (classroom or WBT) in your Shopping Cart that you do not wish to register in, you will need to select the Remove link located to the right of the course before completing the Enrollment Checkout Form. This will remove the unwanted course from your Shopping Cart. Page 7 of 12
Enrollment Checkout Form: 3. The second item found in the yellow box of the Training Shopping Cart window instructs you to proceed with the registration process by completing the Enrollment Checkout Form located just below your Shopping Cart. Required information is marked with an orange asterisk (*) to the right of the field; you will not be allowed to submit the registration until all required information is filled in. NOTE: Although McKesson Project Manager is not a required field, this is helpful information. All fields in the Enrollment Checkout Form are self explanatory with the possible exception of the last two. Since you may have questions about these two fields, an explanation of each is provided below. Is Student a Contractor: ) If the student you are registering is an employee of the hospital, select No from the dropdown selection list. ) If the student you are registering is not an employee of the hospital, then he or she is a contractor and you should select Yes from the dropdown selection list. Payment Method: You will find three payment options from the dropdown selection list. ) Contract: Select this option if you have an existing contract with McKesson for this training class. When Contract is selected, you will be required to provide the Contract/Sales Order Number in the provided box. If you do not have the contract number, please obtain it from your project lead before submitting your registration. Page 8 of 12
) Invoice: Select this option if you wish for McKesson to bill your facility for the class registration. Your hospital will be billed in the billing period following the date of your class attendance. ) Other: Select this when payment is not via Contract or Invoice and you have a special instruction regarding payment. You will be required to provide a short explanation. We do not have a payment option for credit card at this time. 4. Once the Enrollment Checkout Form is complete, review the Payment Policy and Cancellation Policy. 5. There are two buttons that appear under the Policy Statements at the bottom of the Enrollment Checkout Form. 1. If you wish to register other students in classes, click the Enroll this Student button and then proceed to step #7. 2. If you are finished registering for yourself or other students at this time and are ready to review the final registration summary, select Go to Final Summary and proceed to step #8. 6. If you selected Enroll This Student, the following screen will display. Return to shopping cart and enroll another student ) The first option takes you back to the shopping cart You can add more classes to the cart Remove classes from the cart Complete the Enrollment Checkout Form for another student and enroll that student ) Repeat this process until you are finished registering other students in classes, then select the second option I m finished. Take me to the final summary ) The second option takes you to the final Enrollment Summary page ) Move on to step #8 Page 9 of 12
Enrollment Summary: 7. The final Enrollment Summary appears like the following sample. It displays all the classes and students you have just submitted for registration. Review the summary carefully for accuracy and make note of the registration Status. If status is Pending, the Registrar will contact you if the pending status cannot be resolved. ) Possible reasons for Pending status Billing contract number doesn t match or has a typo Prerequisite student has not completed prerequisite to course for which registration was submitted Capacity course is already at maximum capacity Conflict student is already registered for another course for the same date(s) and time(s) Duplicate student is already registered for same class for a different date and time NDA student is a contractor to the hospital and must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement form that will be sent from, and should be returned to, the Customer Education Solutions Registrar. If status is Approved, you will receive an email shortly confirming your enrollment. NOTE: If there is an error on the Enrollment Summary listing a class or student you did not wish to register, please contact the Registrar as soon as possible at Education.Solutions@McKesson.com. My Orders 1. Once the registration submittal process is complete you can still view the registrations you have submitted by selecting the My Training tab and then selecting the View My Orders or the My Orders link. 2. The My Orders page contains the two sections described below. Selecting the View All link next to each training order header will bring up a detailed list of your training orders, Training Orders for Me which contains a list of all the courses you have registered yourself in, listing the most recent 10 training orders, and Training Orders for Others which contains a list of all the courses you have registered others in, displaying the most recent 100 training orders. The Training Orders for Others: Shows the Order Date you registered a student for a class Shows the Course Code of the class Shows the Course Name of the class Shows the Name of the student registered Shows the Date and Time of the class requested Shows the Location of the class Shows the Status (Enrolled, In-progress, Finished) Contains links to view training orders requested during different time periods (the last 30, 60, 90, or 180 days, or All Orders) Is not populated with data if you do not register others for classes 4.
