Welcome Letter from the Head Teacher March 2018 Dear Applicant Thank you for your interest in the position of Head Teacher at St Lawrence Church of ngland Primary School. St Lawrence Church of ngland Primary School is a welcoming school with a warm, family feel, where children feel safe. The school is committed to providing education of the highest quality within a happy, secure Christian environment. We currently have 144 children on roll from Reception to Year 5. In September 2017 St Lawrence made the transition from lower school to primary and our current Year 5 will be our first Year 6 cohort in September 2018. As part of our transition to primary we will have two new classrooms and work will start on this project in May. We also have nursery provision on the school site, with 21 children currently on roll. At the age of 11 the majority of children transfer to Sharnbrook Academy. As a Church of ngland school we promote a strong Christian ethos, nurturing the social and spiritual wellbeing of our children, and ensuring everyone is treated with equal respect and opportunity. We are looking for someone who will not only support our Christian ethos but recognise its significance in raising standards. We are looking for an ambitious, dynamic Head Teacher to lead the school on the next stage of our journey to becoming a full primary school. We are in the process of moving towards federation with Christopher Reeves Primary School in Podington to commence September 2018. Our new Head Teacher will have the support of a newly formed federated Governing Board and an excellent leadership team, including a recently appointed Senior Teacher. Job Description Post Title: Salary Scale: Responsible to: Head Teacher Leadership Governing Board The Head Teacher, who is accountable to the Governing Board, will be an inspirational, professional and dynamic leader with the vision, drive and passion to build upon the school s strengths and achievements.
