Aurora Online Staff 2008 Brady Begley Brady is an English major with a technical writing emphasis from Berea KY. His job within the Aurora staff is web design. His hobbies include fixing computers. He will graduate in Spring of 2008, and he plans to work in the IT department at EKU. Rachel Bentley Rachel is a senior English major with an emphasis in both creative and technical writing. She is originally from South Point, OH. Her job within the Aurora staff is the email manager. Her interests include Robert Downey Jr., Doctor Who, and unique things. She enjoys anime, movies, comic books, and fan-fiction. Rachel plans to be an English Professor when she is finished with school. Elizabeth Campbell Elizabeth is a senior English major with a technical writing emphasis. She is from Georgetown, KY. Her job within the Aurora staff is advertising. Her hobbies include working out, and going to concerts. Elizabeth s career goals are to become an English professor, or an academic advisor. Leah Campbell Leah is a junior English major with a technical writing emphasis and she will graduate in Spring of 2010. She is from Berea KY, where she currently resides with her husband. Her job within the Aurora staff is the staff biographies. Her hobbies include reading, watching and collecting movies, spending time with friends and family, and listening to music. Leah s careers goals are to be an editor or publisher.

James Crouser James is a senior majoring in both Creative Writing and Theatre. Born in Kokomo Indiana, educated in Nicholasville and Richmond, KY. He graduates in the Spring of 2010. His job within the Aurora staff is web design and photography. His interests include writing, art, and music. James currently works in publc radio, and aspires to be a great writer someday. Lee Feathers Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Lee will graduate in December 2008 with a B.A. in English (Creative Writing). She will then intern at Sarabande Books in Louisville, KY from January-May 2009. Lee has been a freelance editor since June 2007 and, to date, has edited five non-fiction books; this is her dream job and she hopes she will always have clients so she can edit beautiful words! She will pursue an M.F.A. in Writing (poetry) sometime in the near future; until then, she will continue to work as a freelance editor. Jeremy Gregory Jeremy is a senior English major with a creative writing emphasis, and journalism minor. He is from Somerset, KY, and will graduate in the fall of 2009. His job within the Aurora staff is poetry editor. His interests include writing, photography, watching movies, and spending time with friends. Jeremy s career goal is to write for a nationally circulated magazine or newspaper. Josh Hamblin Josh Hamblin is a senior from Whitley County, KY. He is an English major with a technical writing emphasis. He enjoys reading, horseback riding, and Bluegrass music. He also enjoys writing fiction, short plays, and creative nonfiction. Josh will be graduating in the Spring of 2009.

Brittany Jamison Brittany is a Biology/Pre-med major with an English/tech writing minor with a teaching option. She is from Garrison KY. Her job within Aurora is coordinator. Her hobbies include reading, running, yoga, cooking, and school. Brittany s career goals are to be an editor for a medical journal or maybe a M.D. She also hopes to travel and do student teaching abroad. Amara Long Amara is junior English major with a technical writing emphasis. She is from Lebanon, OH, and will graduate in Spring of 2010. Her interest includes playing with her little boy, reading, and going out with friends. Amara s career goal is to be an editor of literature. Matt McAlister Matt is a senior English major with a creative writing emphasis from Lexington KY. He plans to attend graduate school and travel after he graduates. His hobbies include reading, writing, watching movies, listening to music, and playing video games. Kelly McLaughlin Kelly is a senior English major with a technical writing emphasis and a Spanish certificate. She is from Cincinnati, OH, and will graduate in Spring on 2009. Her job within the Aurora staff is advertising. Her interests include singing, writing, and music. Kelly s career goals are to be a publisher.

Andy Newman Andy is a senior English major with a creative writing emphasis. He is from Cynthiana KY, and will graduate in Spring of 2009. His job within the Aurora staff is fiction editor. His interests and hobbies include writing, golf, vegetable gardening, and perfecting his barbeque technique. Andy s career goal is some combination of writing, editing, and teaching Lindsey Stockton Lindsey is a senior English Major with a creative writing emphasis. She is from Monticello. Her position on the Aurora staff involves the interview of Julie Hensley. Her hobbies include writing and reading both fantasy and science fiction. Lindsey s career goals are to be a novelist and a librarian. Lindsay Tackett Lindsay is a senior English major with a technical writing emphasis. She is from Bulter, OH, and will graduate in Spring of 2009. Her job within the Aurora staff is advertising. Her interests include writing, video games, and horseback riding. Lindsay s career goal is to be a web publisher. Courtney Tennill Courtney Tennill is a senior English and chemistry double major from Hyden, KY. She plans on attending pharmacy school upon graduation and wants to specialize in pediatrics. She enjoys writing, organizing things, marching band, spending time with her extended family and bargain hunting.

Shelby Thompson Shelby is a senior Creative Writing major. She is originally from Mt. Sterling, KY though she now lives in Richmond with her husband and sister. Her job within Aurora includes participating in an interview with a new and exciting teacher here at EKU. She enjoys school and spending time with friends on the weekends, as well as playing with her two cats. Shelby intends to go to graduate school where she will either receive an MA in American Literature, or an MFA in Creative Writing.
