Headteacher s contribution to Newsletter Dear Parents and Carers We are so proud of our Year 5 pupils who met a real astronaut, Commander Foale at President Kennedy School on Monday to support their thematic curriculum of Earth & Space. They were all ambassadors of our school, behaved impeccably and asked some very thoughtful questions. Well done, Year 5! We were very excited to announce our Junior Librarians for this academic year and congratulations to Emily S, Jakub G, Jack K, Ellie- Mai F, Brook L and Tyler M who received their librarian badges in this morning s celebration assembly. Our school library is closed for refurbishment and we are busy cataloguing new books and resources for its opening towards the end of this term. Thank you to those children who attended our weekly football club on Thursday. We are looking forward to making our team selection for an away fixture next month! If you haven t joined football club, remember it is free of charge, after school on a Thursday and we still have three places remaining. Please see Mrs Brown in the office to book a place. Please remember to keep 8th December free to enable you to attend our Christmas Fair and plans for this are taking shape with our hardworking and highly-motivated PTFA. PTFA Section Just a reminder for the 12 Days of Christmas Fancy Dress Day on Friday 1st December, we would like your child to dress as one of the characters from the Twelve Days of Christmas song. (i.e. A Partridge, Gold Ring, Maid-a-milking etc). Please don t worry if you cannot think of a costume, just wear something Christmas-themed. Can we please ask that your child brings in a donation of either Chocolates, Biscuits, Bottle of Pop or nice smellies to be used at the Christmas Fair.
