Tertiary Education Scholarship Programme 2018 FOR 2019 ACADEMIC YEAR GUIDELINES AND APPLICATION FORM Scholarship Value: $2,500 Application Opening Date: 1 June 2018 Application Closing Date: 6 July 2018 (5pm deadline) Background Central Lakes Trust (CLT) currently offers Tertiary Education Scholarships annually to the five High Schools in its region; Wakatipu and Dunstan High Schools, Mount Aspiring and Cromwell Colleges and Roxburgh Area School. It is at the discretion and judgement of each Principal of these schools to determine, based on guidelines and agreed criteria, the student(s) they wish to select for a Tertiary Education Scholarship awarded by Central Lakes Trust. These applications are to be forwarded directly to the relevant Central Lakes Trust regional based school for consideration. The allocation of the number of scholarships to be awarded at the five High Schools in the Central Lakes Trust region is based on the school s eligible Year 13 roll. An additional pool of funds is available to students who come from the Central Lakes Trust region, who attend a school outside the region but within New Zealand, or who are home schooled within the Central Lakes Trust region. These applications are to be forwarded directly to Central Lakes Trust for consideration, whereby Central Lakes Trust may be required to liaise directly with the relevant personnel from the applicants school. Scholarships are for individuals wishing to commence their first-year of full-time tertiary study following Year 13, to further their education in 2019, or 2020 after a GAP year, either in New Zealand or overseas.
