STATEMENT OF AGREEMENT WITH INSTITUTIONAL POLICY ACADEMIC AND COMMUNITY EXPECTATIONS Read APU s Statement of Agreement below, which explains chapel attendance and theology course requirements as well as academi c integrity and behavioral guidelines. Reading and signing this statement are conditions of your admission to Azusa Pacific University. Please sign below only after you have read and agree to abide by the expectations listed. The mission of Azusa Pacific University includes cultivating in each student not only the academic skills that are required for a university degree, but also the characteristics of academic integrity that are integral to a sound Christian education. A sense of moral responsibility, consistent with the biblical teachings of honesty and accountability, is critical. A breach of academic integrity is viewed as an act which is fundamentally inconsistent with the purpose and mission of the entire university. Azusa Pacific University is also committed to a biblical system of values. The university s faculty, staff, and administration seek to provide each student with a meaningful education based on the concept that each person is a spiritual, emotional, social, and intellectual being. Opportunities are available through classes, chapel services, and informal small-group meetings for spiritual discussion, reflection, and decision. Spiritual knowledge and growth will be an important part of every student s experience at APU. While APU is a distinctly Christian institution, the university admits students from other religious backgrounds.
