EDITORIAL Dear Alumni, We learn from one another what a magazine is, and what it can be, in our always changing new world. A beautiful and meaningful platform to get in touch with Alumnus is our Alumni Newsletter "InTouch". I am happy to release Third volume of Jaipuria Jaipur Alumni Newsletter "InTouch" on Alumni Meet 2017. InTouch is a platform to reach out to every Jaipurian via the powerful & impactful mode - Writing & Expression. It is a platform for alumnus to share and record memories, update their achievements, promote their ideas, and share information, besides getting updates and happenings of Jaipuria Jaipur. I am sure this endeavor shall help in strengthening the bonds of the alumni association. With great humility and pride, I acknowledge the contribution and support of alumni in the institute's endeavors. Year 2016 witnessed the presence of more than 200 alumni at the institute in all the major academics and non-academics events which the institute hosted from every corner of the country like Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, Indore, Pune, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Delhi, NCR and of course Rajasthan, etc. DR. LOKESH VIJAYVARGY Coordinator- Alumni Relation Committee Dean (Student Affairs) Apart from the regular categories of InTouch, this year we added a special feature, i.e. Discussion Forum for alumni, where in remarks/suggestions/observations from alumni on various pursuits like: How to make best use of 2-years at Jaipuria Jaipur (Keeping your own experience in mind, can you suggest how should Jaipuria students make the best use of 2-years on campus?) What should students do for enhancing their Career perspective? (What three things Jaipuria students should focus for enhancing their career perspective?) What should the students look for in their first placement? (Company, future growth, profile, package, position) It was really overwhelming to see the responses that we received from our alumni which are workable and actionable for our students. We shall definitely implement all valuable suggestions in our curriculum. InTouch seeks your valuable feedback, updates, analytical notes, light stuff and achievements. My deep felt gratitude to all contributors specially our Alumni, as without your contribution this newsletter- "InTouch" could not have taken its present shape!!!!! I would like to thanks Ms. Karishma Sikwar, Alumni - Executive and Student Alumni Committee Chair by Ms. Ritu Kanojia, Alumni Committee for their enormous support and help at every point of time for InTouch. Looking forward for your active participation and involvement in making the alumni network strong. Wishing each one of you all the very best in your professional and personal life. Topic 1: How to make best use of 2-years at Jaipuria Jaipur (Keeping your own experience in mind, can you suggest how should Jaipuria students make the best use of 2-years on campus?) Always keep yourself involved in different campus activities in addition to academics. Discuss current topics with friends and faculty. Relate subjective knowledge with real life scenarios for better clarity." Mr. Abhishek Bishnoi PGDM Batch (2006-08) National Head, H&R Johnson (India), Mumbai "Two years is a very short time to change an entire personality. However, since students at Jaipuria are selected through a rigorous selection procedure, only those who already have the spark to make it big can enter the halls of JIMJ. After this entry, it is the duty of each prospective CEO to fine tune his mental abilities to absorb as much knowledge as possible towards the ultimate goal of becoming a refined, well connected, resourceful and perspicuous manager. This is possible in following the under given 5 point programme during your learning period at the institute: 1. Be active always in the various inter-as-well-as intra college activities. These are opportunities to learn by making mistakes. So make as many as possible. 2. Meet as many new people as possible. Be it industry experts who visit for guest lectures or students from other colleges. All this helps you form a strong network of resourceful people. And this is what good managers are required for...connections. 3. Take the projects given at the college seriously. And try to make them related to real world problems as much as possible. Your background work done for any study related project will help you discuss them in your interviews. 4. Make best use of the library. It is very good in Jaipuria and will open your mental faculties towards international standards. 5. And finally enroll for AMFI, NSE India etc. and learn trading in the markets. The BFSI is the next big thing for employment and if you are well versed with the nitty gritty of the financial market, it will definitely give you an edge in interviews. Apart from this my personal advice is to be active with National Entrepreneurship Network so that some of you get incubated for entrepreneurship programs. "Best of Luck to the future JIMJites." Ms. Kirti Sharma PGDM Batch (2007-09) Branch Manager, State Bank of India, Jodhpur 26

I would only say to students that: "Take assignments that are outside your comfort zone, attend meetings/conferences and expose yourself to the jobs that you don't know. It will expose you to new ideas and ways of thinking that you might not have the opportunity to experience once you step in the corporate world. Build your own network which will keep you energized. You may have rigorous curriculums, but the constant influx of new ideas and people in your life will keep you refreshed as you make your way through two of the best years of your life. Besides the updating of theoretical knowledge, the more live projects and assignments you do, the more you are preparing yourself to enter the Corporate World". Mr. Amit Mathur PGDM Batch (2009-11) Sr. Manager-Marketing, Indian Overseas Bank, New Delhi Thank Jaipuria Jaipur for providing an opportunity to share my observations to the students by means of "InTouch". In my experience, you can make the best of two years by keeping the penultimate aim of securing the best placement/profile in the 4th trimester. Consequently, ensure that you are a part of all extracurricular / fun activities and events in the 1st year. Making your presence felt in the institution in the first year will eventually build your confidence for the placement week. While having fun in participating/coordinating activities throughout the 1st year, ensure that you are amongst the top 10 in academics. For the 4th trimester, focus solely on securing a good placement. All's well that ends well!" Mr. Pranay Kapoor PGDM Batch (2014-16) Assistant manager Ujjain, Bangalore. Mr. Ankur Jain, PGDM Batch (2009-11), Manager, Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC), Rajasthan "In my views Best use of jimj can be taken by utilizing the expertise of faculty member in the campus and by also Undergone in good internship. In addition also take full participation in making presentation and group through which communication skills will improve upon and it helps in interviewall the best and enjoy life at land of knowledge". Jaipuria is a platform which provides not just learning but a way to transform your life. The course pattern, events, initiatives, activities, sessions in all are a complete package leading to a way of transformational journey. Key suggestions for Jaipuria students are: - Make best use of each session, Build connections, be participative in all activities & events, Don't miss any opportunity, and Develop interpersonal skills at all levels. These above points have helped me transform myself and create my identitity as "The multi-talented Tejveer Kaur". Ms. Tejveer Kaur PGDM Batch (2015-17) HG Infra Engineering Ltd., Rajasthan 27

Topic 2: What should students do for better Career? (What three things Jaipuria students must do for a better career?) In my view below things i would like to suggest to students: Learn risk taking capability and we should not leave our dreams just because of risk. We must encourage student to try new idea and just not leave them being risk involve. Think Innovative and out of the box to solve problems Data lovers - students must be encourage to be numbers friendly and inbuilt with skills to use data. Using data will help us to take future decision, resource optimization, cost reduction, making process efficient, forecasting and can help organization to be profitable. Thanks for taking my views on this topic. Mr. Deepak Asnani PGDM Batch (2008-10) Operation Manager Genpact, Jaipur Mr. Mohan Agarwal PGDM Batch (2006-08) Head-UP, Ecom Express India, Noida What the experience I have thought out my current outlook, "Students should not only focus on their course books but also other aspects of MBA (current affairs, financial market etc.)... They should focus on the extracurricular activities. Participate in these activities. Make themselves aware about the changes happening in corporate world. Jaipuria should focus on more towards practical knowledge rather than theoretical part.. More opportunities should be provided to the students to participate in other colleges... Review the changes happening in job market and as per these changes/requirements we should change our self." Mr. Sagar Mal Panchariya PGDM Batch (2009-11) Manager, Tyre Stock Exchange The three things Jaipuria student should do: Student should focus on real market research project so than will be beneficial for getting better job. They should focus on communication skill. Keep studying and should be updated on market news. "In my views the student of Jaipuria should do following these things: - Always balance between your course and extra curriculum and your work life balance.take initiative, you never know what might help you in future life, especially in your career life. Never underestimate any work you being assigned. Follow your passion along with your work and career." 28 Ms. Jalpa Ramnani PGDM Batch (2015-17) Tax Consultant, Deloitte, Gurgaon.

According to me below mentioned points will help in making better carriers Develop Confidence: Public as well as one to one speaking to face interview and also to deal with subordinate, clients etc Should motivate students to speak in public, or can perform on stage..etc Build Good communication skill-reading newspaper on daily Basis will provide them various information and hence they will be have adequate knowledge for discussion with truth and facts. Team Work: Working in group-jaipuria can encourage students to bring high numbers good sponsors to organize fairs/event, conference, outside project, outside campus public dealings...etc. this will make them understand the corporate culture etc. At end College must ensure that there should not be shortcut way, rather student must feel motivated to work religiously, sincerely... Ms. Preeti Singh PGDM Batch (2012-14) Store Manager Vodafone, New Delhi Ms. Shweta Pathak, PGDM Batch (2006-08), Entrepreneur According to me student should: 1. Utilise the available resources at campus at fullest: Jaipuria has all the rarest resource, make use of it, deploy them, and take advantage of them. 2. Be innovative: "think beyond text, surround yourself with inspiration, get out of the resistance, explore opportunity and grab it." 3. Focus for 'Profile' In spite of 'package': A good profile job will increase more future scope of career advancement in comparison to high monetary packaged job. "In today's competitive scenario, the following will help you draw bigger impact: Planning - Look into details and identify what's important in the long run. Focus - It's not the beauty of the result you should look at; it's the foundation that will stand the test of time. Read/Listen - To attain knowledge, add little every day. The first person you have to resurrect is yourself! Mr. Vishal Sharma I am glad to contribute in open discussion form for Intouch. PGDM Batch (2013-15) Account Manager HackerEarth Technologies Pvt Ltd, New Delhi "Student must doing their summer internship with honesty & loyalty. They will doing more live project to better understand of corporate culture. Participate in most of events & seminar which helpful their placements. Enjoy the life & decided clearly what you want to do & working in that direction. Mr. Ghanshyam Patel PGDM Batch (2014-16) Sales Officer, ParleG 29

Topic 3: What do industry expect from management graduates? (Where should students focus more at first placement-profile, package, position?) Students should focus on Profile first and try learn the functionality and operations part and then should focus on position and package after 2-3 years. Because at the earlier part of your professional life its you're learning face and should aim to learn more and more work only and you get perfect on you work profile then packages will follow you automatically and as you grow more in your career and get more and more experience you will get promotions and then you get target for god positions as well. If in initial part of your career your objective is package then you will not get success because as you fresher in the industry now one will give weightage to you it will be critical for a fresher and package gets increased only depending on the profile you are handling and in which organization as well." Mr. Vaibhav Luhadia PGDM Batch (2007-09) Warehouse Manager Bharti Infratel Limited, Jaipur My views "The first thing before going for any Job is to prepare a good C.V. which itself implies that you need to work on your profile first and then the position and package is a part of the same process arousing from your profile." Mr. Rohan Maheshwari PGDM Batch (2012-14) Asst. Manager, Bank of Baroda, Pune "I believe a new comer should always focus on the profile followed by a position and package. Initially, It is very important to learn and nurture your technical skills. It's like earlier you were riding a bicycle with supporting tyres, now both are unplugged and you need to move ahead without any support system. Position and package are just like speed and control but it is important to ride it first. You will be able to control other 2 factors. Package and Position will follow once you get a growth oriented profile wherein your strength and abilities are rightly valued. The moment you start exploring your areas of expertise, apparently you would be able to see exciting results." Generally, Industry professionals prefer a candidate who is honest and the one who always work with the right attitude. Most prominent factor is your communication skills both written and verbal. Explicitly, your curiosity to learn, relearn and unlearn." "As per my industry experience till date and being an employer right now, I would highly recommend to focus on profile at very first placement.this is because a good profile results in sound knowledge of processes and also allows to understand ground realities. Once anyone is good with such things package and position follows it. Person sitting on a good position must have fair experience of modus operandi as well, then only good leaders are emerged. Package automatically follows skills, which comes from a good profile. Initial years, candidate should only focus on gaining knowledge of the industry with a focus to achieve excellence. As it's a continuous process, but there is no shortcut to success and no alternative of hard work in smart manner". Mr. Lalit Sharma Batch (2009-11) Director Decipher Zone Software Mr. Govind Sharma PGDM Batch (2012-14) Head of Operations Fella Homes, Delhi 30

In today times, Industries expectations from management graduates according to me are- The management graduates must have time management knowledge as punctuality and TAT are the two important factors in the upcoming competitive market and this gives the first impression of the candidate. Instead of quantitative work, candidate must focus on qualitative result and in the two year management program they are taught this in a very well manner. Candidates must be focused while on the job and use of social media at the work place should be avoided. Management Graduates must be updated with the current affairs. Dressing etiquettes, email etiquettes are the other factors which the graduate must possess. Students should focus on following things: Students to focus on profile first, because the right profile is the first step towards the dream job they peruse. Second priority should be the position as it is the job role which defines your approach towards the organization. Third priority should be package, however students make this as there first preference but as per industry package varies and its important first to choose your industry then hopping on to package. According to me: "Students should focus more on: Think about the practical aspect rather than theoretical, Good at communication with people at all level & within team, Always remain positive not be so panic, High motivated, committed and dedicated, and Quick decision making capabilities, A fresher students must be focus on their profile rather than package." Ms. Ashish Gupta PGDM Batch (2011-13) Area Sale Officer ITC Ltd., Rajasthan "They want a person to be good in communication and ethical behavior first and he/she is supposed to have a goal and some passion to do work. Also the interest in the field of job application is what matters the most with a basic knowledge of working in company. Most probably these days Microsoft office is must. Focus are may depends but there is supposed to have some criteria like which field one is interested in and Profile and packed is to be considered must". Ms. Anchal Jhalani, PGDM Batch (2012-14) Credit Manager Capital First Ltd., Rajasthan Mr. Sanidhya Goyal, PGDM Batch (2015-17) Tax Consultant, Deloitte, Gurgaon "Initially when any graduate entered into the corporate world he/she has to first justify his profile given to him. Once you justify your profile you can move upwards in your position along with the package. Mr. Sandeep Agarwal PGDM Batch (2008-10), Entrepreneur "Management graduates should be more focused about what exactly they want their career to be, rather than salary. They should go for a company where they want to be associated for long. These students can even change their career direction for a mere salary hike. This approach of them often leads to disinterest of companies towards them. The most common reason for rejecting them is also lack of cultural fit and an inability to solve complicated problems. They are limited to classroom theories and case studies. A focused mind with a smart approach is something industry expects from management graduates." Mr. Deepak Middha PGDM Bacth (2013-15) Deputy Manager, Indusind Bank, Bikaner 31

inside out of "DON'T WATCH THE CLOCK, DO WHAT IT DOES. KEEP GOING." Mr. Akshat Jhalani, PGDM (2015-17) SAM LEVENSON Tax Consultant, Deloitte THE POWER WITHIN YOU All the road to your dreams isn't very easy to navigate, sometimes they are dotted with mountains to climb, and obstacles to overcome, and sometimes that will make you feel like quitting from everything and leave as they are. Just remember this if you get lost the way: Anything you want doesn't come easy. So don't get nervous. Don't give up. Stand and Start. I have found that sometimes the subtle difference in our attitude, which of course can make a major difference in our future, can be as simple as the language we use. Just because it's common, that doesn't mean it's not risky. Many people fall into the misconception that if a lot of people are doing something, it must be the safest path and starts following them. But we need to understand, it may be good for him not for you. Choose your own path and start working on it. When we start thinking and saying what we really want then our mind automatically shifts and pulls in that direction. And sometimes it can be that simple, just a little twist in vocabulary that illustrates your attitude and philosophy. Don't just stop yourself when you are tired, STOP when you are done. SPECIAL 26 Class of 2011-13, and a batch of 26, we called it "special 26", with the same name a movie had hit the theatres at that time. In 2013, I started working a couple of months before we even graduated. After working for a year and a half with Crayons Advertising, Jaipur, I started working with an Ed-tech startup Hello English, and have been a part of the team since its inception. Ms. Himani Wadhwa, PGDM (2011-13) Senior Content Writer in Hello English At the outset, what encouraged and motivated me, was the idea behind the App. The idea to make English learning more accessible! With 30 million users across the globe, in 3 years, the growth has been phenomenal and overwhelming! Falling into the rat race was never my idea, I always wanted to stick to a cause, and I did. I believe if you follow what you believe in, everything else follows. With the technological advancements, it is imperative to keep yourself abreast with the happenings, and work in an environment which is conducive for you in terms of what you want to learn, and explore. The key is to keep exploring, and learning! 33

THE BEST IS YET TO COME My dear, Destiny has its ways to teach you what you need to learn. There is this famous saying, "What goes around, comes around. If you give someone, pain, guilt, happiness, love or friendship- it will come back to you in one way or another. They hurt you and you suffer. But they smile, laugh and enjoy with the people whom they bitched about in front of you. You realise that was nothing but a lie. That friendship too was a lie but you did everything to save it. They come; you accept. They lie; you believe. They hurt you; you love them. They leave; you stay. Ms. Prerana Jhawar, PGDM (2013-15) Author What would you do to keep someone who don't want to stay? Why would you love someone who thinks you're coming into his life is a mistake? People are all the same! But you don't hold grudges, it pollutes your soul. They lied and you believed, it's not your mistake. You simply went with the flow. Understand that, everything happened in past was an 'almost' and you deserve 'all'. It is just that the one who deserve you is your destination and the one who left was an obstacle in your journey. Because, the best is yet to come. THE STORY OF KARTKOPPER.COM (HOUSE WIFE TO BUSINESS WOMEN) What happens when you bring together a housewife, a passion for entrepreneurship and a whole lot of conviction in one's own abilities? The strength to follow what your soul truly desires! That in its very basic essence is the story of Kartkopper.com, an online portal that is writing new stories with its differential product offerings and marketing tools. Like any startup the life was not easy for Mrs. Anjali Sharma (founder kartkopper.com).as she says "My husband Mr. Prateek Sharma (JIMJ PGDM batch 2008-10) who works with SBI was posted at Hisar,Haryana & my daughter was 2 years old, the time I thought of doing something of my own." The story began with the trading of traditional Rajasthani bed sheets having Kantha print, kalamkari print, Patch and Embroidery work etc. She started selling the bed sheets from home at Hisar, Haryana and went on successfully selling the 300 bed sheets in 2 months. But the problem was with managing the operations such as buying inventory from Jaipur, & bringing it to Hisar was really a tough task. So, inspired by the initial selling and problems faced, the products were listed on flipkart.com under the name of Nathi and Nancy Fabrics Jaipur. Working with flipkart made her feel the power of online selling & opportunities to work from home & concept of nathiandnancy.com was born. The initial Mr. Prateek Sharma, PGDM (2008-2010) Manager, State Band of India investment of technology was very low and as such the features. It was hard to manage the bulk orders, automation of e-mail and sms notifications for updating the customers regarding their orders, portal signups etc. and everything was done manually due to technology resource constraints. The tie-up with India Post as a logistic partner also did not prove to be successful & tracking the orders even when delivered became the day to day problem though India Post was preferred to be a logistic partner because of its wide reach in every corner of the country. The non-availability of COD facility, non-automation of e-mail/sms notifications, printing of shipping labels and invoices, uploading of inventory, product photo shoot all came out to be a tedious task and a need of professional site with a catchy portal name was felt because nathiandnancy.com was hard to remember. The portal was relaunched on 16th March 2016 with all the above hurdles being removed and birth of kartkopper.com took place. From traditional bed sheets the site had now started selling the 3-d print bed sheets, kurtis & fashion accessories. The first Facebook campaign in July 2016 was really a big hit with orders been received from almost every state of the country & majority chunk was for 3-d bed sheets. The android app of the portal was also launched in the September 2016 34

and on the same technological platform on which the site operated. Though penetration in Jammu & Kashmir and North- Eastern states (other than Assam and Meghalaya where we had few orders) is still awaited. This was the very critical phase where we had orders but at the same time the operational cost went high because of outsourcing of logistics work, management of e- commerce platform by third parties & running of ad campaigns on social networks. The time was to revamp the marketing strategies and building on the platform where operational cost could be reduced. The operations of the portal were shut down for 6-months as was migrated to a new technological platform to ensure low operational cost. The agreement with delivery was entered into to ensure the availability of COD facility and timely delivery of orders. This was the time when kartkopper.com started selling the t-shirts and shifted from trading to the merchandising business. "It's a pretty crowded market that we operate in. We aren't just competing with established online brands but are very particular about our brand image for which we put in a lot of thought to design selection. For example, we don't do designs just because we think they'd sell and prefer to keep away from general crass humor," says Anjali Sharma. Leveraging the knowledge from -her financial backgrounds (being M.A. Economics), Rs. 5 lakhs have been put in (from personal savings) to set up a business with strong fundamentals and a cash cycle that requires no working capital. This has allowed to grow organically from a business that was started with a total inventory of 300 bed sheets running out from home, to a business with an inventory of t-shirts that is not require to be pile up and managing the operations from Jaipur & Tamil Nadu. Financially, the team believes they have the potential to grow month on month without any additional capital inflow. Some of the marketing features that helped kartkopper.com in growing their customer base are:- 1. Social discounts: - For every face book like, share and Tweet or follow on twitter customers get an instant discount in their shopping cart. 2. Games: - The customers can play and create their own discount by completing the game. The coupon code generated at the completion of game can be used during the final checkout. 3. Cash back: - The cash back is given on your every purchase that can be used in future. 4. Order Reviews: - The customers can earn additional coupon codes for their next purchase by providing the feedback for their purchase from the store. 5. Contests on Social platforms:- The store keeps on organizing the contest on their social platforms such as https://www.facebook.com/kartkopper/ where a comment by you can win you a free t-shirt. 6. Day to day offers:- The site keeps on running the day to day offers which can be availed by visiting the offers section. The product quality is of highest priority at kartkopper.com with all the t-shirts being 180 GSM 100% cotton biowashed and pre shrink stuff as well as unique designs made it stands apart from the competitors. A positive growth like this can't be a purely numbers game and while the team insists their success lies in the simplicity of their business. The store is focusing on their other unique moves that include partnering with colleges, schools & established organizations for their official merchandising in coming days. It has also plans to enter into the other products such as Slogan Tees, Polo Neck Tees, Hoodies, and Boxers etc. in coming days as think tank is working on it. The fan following on face book has already crossed the 15,000 mark but the tough challenge lies in increasing it at a fast pace. The store also aims to mark its presence feel on the IOS and Android platform by the end of this year to offer a much better shopping experience to its customers. "We are also planning to come up with a section of mock news for fun purpose that will not only make you laugh but will also keep you update with the latest news. Hope this new marketing strategy will also help us in increasing our customer base" says Anjali Sharma. The journey of kartkopper.com since its inception can be a learning for many of us and for those who aim to be entrepreneurs. The operations management, financial management & marketing management are the 3 most important pillars of your business with operations we'll give the utmost priority as it's a day to day affair that affects the way a business turns out. If you plan to set up an e-commerce business than it is must to study your competitors rather we suggest you should follow them. The technological platform and strategies regarding your branding should be absolutely clear in your mind. The business you plan to start may already be running but you should not copy it and come up with your own styles and uniqueness. The social platforms are very crucial and so is the way you market your products. Reminiscence :)!! SOME MEMORIES CAN NEVER FADE College where we spend the best years of our life by making memories with the people we can never ever forget. The life we miss the most, the life we wish we could relive, the life that gave us so much to remember, the life that inked so many memories, so many stories; from completing assignments to writing research papers, from participating in the fest to decorating the premises. Ms. Laveena Chhajed, PGDM (2015-17) Management Trainee, Mahindra Finance Everything might have changed over the years but the memories this building gave us still remains intact. We can picture ourselves running down the corridor, laughing carelessly, cracking jokes and having a gala time with our friends. Our eyes would be searching all those places which once were an important part of our college life. 35

Blissful College Campus The auditorium which was always buzzing with various activities especially "guest lecture" (I know it got boring at times no no every time) would literally come alive; we will still find glimpses of ourselves in the corner of the auditorium, making faces at our friends. The way to library will flicker us with the memories of defying all the library rules, when we couldn't stop chatting and gossiping while the library demanded us to have pin drop silence. The fact that we did everything apart from studying in library would bring a smile on our face. And, when we would enter our classroom, the chaos and hassle of college days would be witnessed once again. We would imagine our friends on every bench, shouting, laughing, fighting and sometimes studying too (But only sometimes). The lush green garden which gave us numerous cricket and volleyball matches would still echo with the cheers of our group. While standing near the corridor and having a look around the whole college, we shall suddenly realize that this was the place where we lived our life to the fullest and we miss it like anything. The awe-inspiring teachers and professors we had No matter how much annoying and irritating we considered them, we cannot deny the fact that they were the ones who moulded us into beautiful human beings. From scolding us for our nuisance activities to complimenting us on every achievement, from clearing up all our doubts to boosting up our confidence, they did it all and paved avenues for our successful life. Remember the Finance teacher whose equations we never understood or Business Communication whose lessons were a tough nut to crack. Not to forget the Accounts professor whose balance sheet gave us nightmares.we kind of despised their presence that time but, now after years when we meet up, we cannot stop admiring them. The proud feeling they have in their eyes when they hear our success stories gives us enormous satisfaction. Times might have changed, but in their eyes, we still remain those naughty students who bunked classes. Even now, they won't mind pulling our ears once in a while and for a change we would love it. The timeless love stories College life brings along so many love stories. Hearts get broken and mended, tears are shed and smiles grow too. We all have been there, done that. The girl or guy we had a huge crush on and the fact that the whole college knew about our emotions except that guy/girl was a matter of life and death for us. Things might have transformed their outlook with time but, even after years when we see that one girl/guy, our heart beats a little too fast and a little too much. The beautiful moments we spent together are still a part of our most cherished memories. Favorite places "ADDA Though our favorite hangout places might have a different look by now but the essence remains the same. College canteen where we had spent all our "kuch meetha ho jaye moments" is still spreading sweetness all around, the "college stairs" where the young student in us weaved dreams and carved future plans can still witness young boys and girls conjuring ambitious dreams with a cup of hot tea, "study room" & "student lounge" were actually made to discuss the past, present and future. This is how college life is! It is beautiful and profound in its own way. It was its own little version of heaven. The memories we made there will always give us that nostalgic tinge and help us discover smile. There are times in the midst of chaos of our busy lives we tend to walk down that memory lane. It instills us with numerous emotions and all we can do is take a walk down that memory lane accompanied with happy tears and sad smiles. "We never realized that we were making memories memories for lifetime SALES AND MARKETING TRENDS IN INDUSTRY "Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do." -Pele Ms. Shobhana Tiwari, PGDM (2015-17) Sales Management Associates, Bajaj Electricals After completing an MBA degree, a graduate is certified in all known core areas or at least some major managerial roles within an establishment. This degree is one that is highly recognizable throughout the world. But there is myth in young generations head regarding sales, "Sales is not good", "There are huge targets", "You must travel a lot", etc. 36

I have different perspective. While perusing MBA I was very much inclined towards HR and the major reason behind that was I hated traveling, and wanted desk job. But somehow, I got selected in Bajaj Electricals and my destiny look me over to totally different sector. I thank lord that I selected sales over HR because now I realize that there is huge learning in sales as compare to sitting in office and doing paper work. You got to meet different people daily, you got to convince them and more over you never feel bored. "The aim of marketing is to know and understand the customer so well the product or service fits him and sells itself." Peter Drucker There is a suggestion to all the youngsters that don't rush and don't create a myth in your mind that Sales is not healthy, first understand the concept. Sales doesn't means always sell you product. It is a beautiful package in which you must deal with different individuals who have different perspective, you must show your leadership by handling distributor and its staff, you must give your innovative ideas to increase range and reach of company and many more things. "Here's my whole marketing idea: treat people the way you want to be treated." Garth Brooks While perusing MBA, students should focus on some major trends that corporates are following. Companies are looking for such individuals who can be agile, flexible and optimistic. There are many new Ideas and thoughts being accepted by the corporates. In FMCG and FMCD business there is a trend that they believe in rotation of money and not keeping stock. In, ITC the sales person used to visit every retailer 3 to 4 times a day. The reason behind this is that the money gets rotated and retailer should give order according to his capacity and demand. Company focus on availability of its product on every counter. Same Bajaj electrical is also doing, they are focusing of range and reach expansion program. Instead of keeping one type of product company is asking retailers to keep more SKU's, i.e., stock keeping unit. Bajaj is applying Theory of constraints (TOC) which means focus. Do what you are supposed to do but stop doing what should not be done in the market. The concept of TOC has four major beliefs, first everyone has inherent goodness and no one evil or bad. Everything in this universe have inherent simplicity and nothing is complex. There is inherent harmony and inherent potential. In personal as well as profession life we face several problems and no MBA can teach us how to solve those constraints. There are 5 major steps that we can apply in formal and informal world. First, identify the system's constraint. Second, decide how to exploit the system's constraint. Third, subordinate every action to the above decision. Fourth, elevate the system's constraint. Last, go back to step-1. So, while doing MBA, the students who want to enter in FMCG or FMCD sector, should focus on these trends as these are the key factors of growth in the market. There is no shortcut for success, have patience and understand each concept by going in market instead of sitting in Airconditioned office. "Write when drunk. Edit when sober. Marketing is the hangover." Ashwin Sanghi IT'S NEVER TOO LATE Take a minute to think about the last time you made a mistake. Remember how angry you felt, at yourself and at the world? How bitter it was that even though you tried again, even though you put yourself out there yet again, you ended up taking the wrong path? It's truly said "No matter how far you have gone on a wrong road, turn back.'' It doesn't matter how long we've allowed ourselves to travel the road of our false self. We know when it isn't leading us to a sense of purpose and significance and we can admit we are on the wrong path. The awareness that our life lacks meaning is more than enough evidence that it's time to make a U-turn. Ms. Naina Bubna, PGDM (2011-13) Corporate HR Executive Gracure Pharmaceuticals It's not always easy to rebuild what broke or to have the confidence to decide that you're not living the life you wish for, so that you can start from scratch. But you are strong enough to do it, and you'll get up more times than you'll ever think you're capable of. This world is nothing if not full of new beginnings and chances to take, so it's you who must choose what you want out of it and if you're willing to put in the work. You'll stumble, fall, and then do it all over again and you know what? You'll wake up another day and by doing that, you'll have a chance to start over. If there's one thing you have to remember, it's that it's not too late. It's never too late to get up, to change it up, to take the jump and run and start all over again. P.S - Thing is, you can. And you will. 37

BRIGHT FUTURES "It always seems impossible until it's done." - Nelson Mandela As placement season is arriving students have a long to do list which is really depressing. Many students say that they kind of felt dead at the start. They don't know where to go, what to do, which industry should they select, what is their dream company, etc. The only way to overcome this is to quickly found the gear. Companies are looking for the people who are full of energy and dedication. Students should be the part of the competition not just watching it. Every second in placement process must be invested, not given away. People say so much time was given. No, don't give. INVEST. Giving is like charity, investment is very serious. Student must ask themselves if that time is given to right company, right profile and what they expect. Then check if they get what was expected. My experience is that students apply for that company who pay high. They are not even bothered to check the profile the company is offering and the JD of the company. "We should not give up and we should not allow the problem to defeat us." -A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. Instead of saying "we started a bit late", students should start there preparations much in advance. We need to bring the sports culture, work harder and harder. But students only want "all gain and no pain". After not getting selected in one or two companies, they start believing that they lost a god given opportunity. It is difficult for them to believe that they lost. They feel shattered and apologize to their well-wishers and placement team. There is a pain of loss and of not getting selected in a good company. They didn't know how long it would take to come out that phase. Mr. Hardik Sojitra, Batch (2015-17) Management Trainee, Verthani Thirumalai Finance Pvt. Ltd. "Keep your eyes on the stars, and your feet on the ground."- Theodore Roosevelt We have the people; we have the brains and manpower. We have best students in finance, HR, Marketing, IT and operations. We can send rockets to the moon and mars, so defiantly we can get selected in best of the companies. We should be held accountable for our performance. We need a complete overhaul to improve our performance. Training should be a mandatory part of the curriculum; we should educate students about the importance of GD, PI, Aptitude round and psychometric test from day one. Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time. Thomas A. Edison We need to learn from campuses that have performed well in the placement week last year. We should adopt the best practices and strategies and make a long term unbiased commitment to make Jaipuria institute of management Jaipur proud. We should be like Dipa Karmakar, this young woman discovered her own potential and vaulted her way into a fulfilling life which offered her rich rewards and recognition she deserved and craved. LIFE AT JAIPURIA Life at Jaipuria, Jaipur Indeed it was a beautiful journey embarked in the pink city, this journey marks many blissful moments spent at Jaipuria from being Mr. Fresher to Head of International Relations Committee (student council) and being the first student of my batch to get placed (As I still remember the day when I visited the campus first time and before finalizing the college, My question from admission department was- will I be placed? Mr. Udit Sehgal, PGDM (2014-16) Executive Trainee, Spandana Sphoorty Looking at my previous grades), this beautiful journey was impossible to even dream off, but this all has been possible due to the continuous efforts of Jaipuria family that has groomed me as needed and has helped me to step in corporate with profile I always dreamed to get in 'operations'. It was the best decision i had ever taken to choose Jaipuria Jaipur for PGDM programme. This journey wouldn't have been more beautiful than it has been. Thank You Jaipuria for this unforgettable journey. 38

LIFE-SUCCESS BEYOND IMAGINATION Journey is what we can plan, we can think and ultimately execute. But Life is an unplanned event. God has created this world for all different kind of species, we can see animals in the forests, humans in the cities, birds flying in the air, trees growing up, we see reptiles inside the soil and even we have microorganisms which could be seen with microscopes only. Out of all the most beautiful creation is expected to be Human Being. We have the power to think, express, examine and to evaluate. We are the real heroes as we have discovered so many things, we have reached so many unexplored place- Space, Mars, Moon etc. We have went to places where God had stayed in past, we have created our own ways of living, we have created our own law, our own religion, our own society. We have gone beyond our limits just to achieve own satisfaction, we have become so unreal to achieve success, we have overruled our own emotions in the fantasy of materialistic world, we have touched every corner to become more powerful, we have tried to reach at the topmost level of success, we have created our own name, our own value and own dignity. Although we have done a lot but this a not the real definition of Human. The real Human is full of satisfaction, kind, soft hearted, helpful and full of fun and happiness but In the race of being the flag bearer we have missed out our basics-we have lost our core values, our ethics our inner beauty and moved to a world which is full of exploitation, explosion, terror, wars, sorrows and sadness. Now people are greedy, feeling less, emotionless, fearful, worried and aggressive. Patience and brotherhood has gone for a toss. Everyone is so busy in their lives earning money, thinking of past, planning for future that they don't have time for their families and friends and not even for GOD. We have failed to be a Human-"The most graceful creation". Mr. Pankil Moolchandani PGDM (2009-11), Manager, Axis Bank In my knowledge we all should grab this opportunity and turn our lives to success- what we want. We should bring our soul at the highest level of purity. Notice every bad evil within and try to get rid of it. Use your power to explore the real human inside you. Pray for others not for self. Always agree to what others say. Stay happy and relaxed Revitalize your energies to build a human inside. Love and greet others. Use Mantras to energize Exercise daily Go to holy places to get positive energy Be spiritual rather aggressive. Try to explore every possibility of being the happiest person on the planet-you will find a positive aura around you. The idea for doing all this is "God has created his own ways of managing our lives, our sorrows and happiness-so always stay calm. Think of a day when you were tensed- crumbling and sudden happiness comes with shower. You think of becoming a doctor and you turn out to be a pilot. You think of starting your own business and you get into a job. You plan for an outing and suddenly gets cancelled Your best friend becomes your rival. If you are suffering from a pain you will definitely get a delightful news. Hope you would have noticed-our body is controlled by our Brain-we taste, we smell, we panic,we feel we sense just because of brain acts as our CPU. But have you ever thought -what we have done in the past, what we are doing in present and what we will do in future is all operated by one and only Almighty-The power of universe. The God has everything planned for you-your birth, your parents, your education, your carrier, your marriage and even your death also. So why to worry when we cannot control anything. Rather we should thank GOD for giving us a wonderful opportunity for making us Humans and should spread his fragrance all around the world. "The only task to achieve the real success 39

BANKING INDUSTRY Banking is a very treacherous business because you don't realize it is risky until it is too late. It is like calm waters that deliver huge storms. Indian banking industry has recently witnessed the roll out of innovative banking models like payments and small finance banks. RBI's new measures may go a long way in helping the restructuring of the domestic banking industry. People think that banking is all about depositing money, opening current account, savings account, making fixed deposits but in reality it is much more than that. The Indian banking system consists of 27 public sector banks, 26 private sector banks, 46 foreign banks, 56 regional rural banks, 1,574 urban cooperative banks and 93,913 rural cooperative banks, in addition to cooperative credit institutions. Public-sector banks control more than 70 per cent of the banking system assets, thereby leaving a comparatively smaller share for its private peers. Banks are also encouraging their customers to manage their finances using mobile phones. There are variety of products that are offered by the banks today from depositing money to lending money (credits), from establishing relationships to giving advices and creating wealth subject to proper investment. There two aspects of banking one is liability and other is asset, just alike every one liability is the considered obligation that one has to repay it is considered the same for banks as well. For bank's liabilities are savings account, current accounts etc. Banks has to pay interest on FD, SA hence they are obligations for bank which they want to reduce. For a knowledge as of layman person, bank are happy to provide these facilities but it is not, current account are the one on which bank mainly focuses as they generate funding for bank and bank does not have to pay any interest on them. For banks perspective assets are - providing loans, advances, credits etc. these are the real money makers, but at the same time greater the amount of advances higher the risk for the bank to get them back and this can be well explained from the saying, "If you owe your bank a 1000 Rs., You have a problem but if you owe bank a 1000 cr. Then your bank have a problem." But then also banking industry is all about which bank can provide more credits to people at a minimal rates though Mr. Kunal Godhwani, PGDM (2015-17) Assistant Manager, Yes bank they are risky for bank but nevertheless bank's bread and butter runs from these services. There are many ways by which bank extends credits to people like providing business limits, car loan, machinery loans, home loan, mortgage loans etc. The world as we know it wouldn't run smoothly without credit and banks to issue it. So now the question is how do bank offer advances/credits at low rates, it can be explained by a simple business rule - lesser the cost of the product lessers the selling price of the product, if bank reduces the interest rates they offer on liability product it can automatically offer low interest on advances they made to corporates and general public. The costing that bank incurs in breeding funds is known as the MCLR (Marginal cost of funds based lending rate).it is an internal benchmark or reference rate for the banks and banks cannot fund at the rate below their MCLR as this is the no profit no loss situation for banks and if banks fund below this rate then it will expose itself to losses also to maintain fair and healthy competition in the market it is mandate from RBI that checks bank from funding below their MCLR. In contemporary market where each bank has its own MCLR that is very close at hand with the competitor, they all are trying best to reduce their MCRL so as to capture market. Every bank publicize lending rate every month so as to review what can be done to reduce it and make it much more combative. Eventually the government and the regulator have undertaken several measures to strengthen the Indian banking sector but still our banking arrangements lack far behind when it comes to the global level. As per the latest statement by ICRA (Indian credit agency) it is estimated that credit growth in India's banking sector would be at 7-8 per cent in FY 2017-18 and still many amendments has to be done in the banking regulation act to expand this industry at a good pace. 40

CAN ENTREPRENEURS HAVE A GOOD WORK LIFE BALANCE Starting up a business inevitably means a lot of hard work. That's not to say a typical day job does not, but when you own your business the to-do list can feel overwhelming as you quest to accomplish early targets vital to making the venture both viable in the short term and a long term success. Budgets are also tight and you may not have the money to take on a host of staff to help pick up the slack. You didn't plan to at the outset but before you know it you're doing all the odd jobs yourself. A customer asks for minor changes which were not part of the contract but as a gesture of good will you try to accommodate them. You're answering the phone as soon as it rings in an effort to make sure you don't miss anything. Or you're simply feeling everything needs that final touch by you. Maintaining a healthy work life balance at the same time can therefore seem like no more than a pipe dream as the long days pile up and the weekends end up being more days of work rather than a break. But running on empty, dashing from one apparent emergency to the next, clearly isn't sustainable. So how do you strike that work life balance when times are so demanding of you in those early stages? Here are some thoughts to help make things that bit more sustainable, and most importantly enjoyable. Because after all your start up business was meant to be just that! Delegate, delegate, delegate - Learn the art of delegation if you've got team members to help you. Identify the strengths in your team and let them take care of the things they are best suited to. It involves trust but there's no reason to think why it should be you doing it all yourself. Your team want the business to be a success too so make sure your employees feel like business owners and empower them to get on with what you hired them to do. Outsourcing - It may seem counter intuitive to think of outsourcing when you've just set up your own business to deliver on your idea and cash flow is tight. But time is also money and outsourcing is what some successful entrepreneurs do to save time and double the output of their efforts. What's wrong with outsourcing a task or a project if it's not one of your strengths or simply doesn't interest you? Your energy when you set up a business is going to be critical to its success so there's no point inwasting it on something that you don't want to do. If it is feasible financially, outsourcing a task to keep control of your working hours and your energy levels high, is a potential way to maintain some balance. Mr. Rohan Jha, PGDM (2009-11) Entrepreneur Under promise, but over deliver - Do not overpromise to clients. Let them know exactly what your routine work times are. If you need time to do the school run every day for example, don't give the impression that you are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It won't work, will simply because you stress and most likely irritate those critical early customers. Set achievable goals - Recognizing what you've done and achieved, however small, is as important as knowing what you've still got to do to build your business. Set yourself bite sized goals along the way to delivering the grand plan, stick to delivering them and celebrate their achievement. They'll re-stock the energy levels and keep you motivated. Take time for a holiday - Holidays provide you with a muchneeded break from the pressures of professional responsibilities. If you are not able to afford or take time out for long holidays, you might consider taking regular breaks during long weekends. Extend your weekends to a day or two and spend quality time with your family, friends, or with yourself. Define your work-life boundaries - Make a clear distinction between your work and personal life to define your limits at both fronts. Even a task as simple as travelling between your home and office can contribute towards distinguishing between your work and personal life. You may employ all the possible tools and strategies to serve this purpose. Filter your calls - You may employ the latest technology to filter and manage your calls online. This way, you will have fewer chances of mixing your work and personal life. Update your call schedules to comply with your overall schedules for more convenient working and ensuring that you are connected to your business even when you are away. Hence, you do not have to worry unnecessarily about losing out on any potential customers. Ensure to take your meals regularly- While working, be particular about taking reasonably timed breaks for your meal times. If you are working from home, you may schedule your meal times so that you may be able to enjoy 41

a good meal with your family. Make your meal time a part of the quality time to be spent with your family and put away all the distractions, like mobile phones, while having your lunch. Take proper sleep: Negligence towards your acquiring sufficient sleep may have disastrous consequences on your health, as well as, on your work-life balance. Consider taking power naps during noon to increase your energy and productivity at work and stay energized and active at all times. Exercise: Exercise not only tones muscles, but improves brain power. A study showed aerobic exercise increased cognitive function. This is because exercise increases blood flow to your brain, meaning a jog might be just what you need before a brainstorming session. It also helps in networking, reducing stress, boosts confidence, improves energy and lets you be in control. Identify your limitations: Identify your work and personal life aspects that are in your control and then devise processes and schedules accordingly. Spend time working around factors that are in your control to achieve a balance in your life. Know when you are most productive: Some people work better at night, while others are more productive during daytime. Assess yourself to know during what time you are most productive and devote this time to tackle the most complicated and difficult of tasks. In conclusion I can just tell you that a perfect work life balance can be a myth as people's priorities both at home and in the office inevitably keep changing. Given the fast paced nature of entrepreneurship that can seem even more so. However by practicing and completing some of these bits of advice you can keep things on an even keel and maintain those critical energy levels needed to make your start up business a success. 42 THINK BIG AND LIVE THE BEST TIME OF YOUR LIFE The life you are living is the dream for million people, so don't feel bad about your life, cherish every moment, time fly like anything and its never come back. We all are lucky that we are living the best time of human ancient. We have access to everywhere for everything so make most out of it. The best time is now, future we don't know and past we can't change, the best time to live your life is now, when you are reading this article. Sir, I join as a MT. in Project Management Trainee, what are the growth opportunity for me here? "The world is open in front of you, it's all depend on you." Manager said. What is the biggest problem with our generation? We live either in past or we live in future. When we realize that our dreams are not achievable overnight, we start feeling frustrated, defeated, aimless and not able to see a large picture. Unfortunately, we belong to the generation that cannot wait for 2 seconds, when website takes 2 minutes into reloading. So you can imagine, when it is a matter of 5-10 years, how difficult it is deal with that? The biggest downside of this kind of situation is that we feel XYZ is responsible for this, and never ready to take responsibility for your action. When we fail, we have already a list of Mr. Jaysukh Suthar, PGDM (2015-17) MT- Vendor Management, HCL Technologies excuse to defend our self and when you do this you not able to learn anything which can help you to correct that mistake next time. Make sure that you don't have to regret in future that if I can go back in my past than I will change this and that, so just make sure that you are living in the present moment. Presently you are thinking about changing your past and just because of that you are not able to focus on present, and again in future you are going to regret for same. One African proverb says " mistake you make one time may you not repeat second time, but mistake you make second time, you going to repeat for the third time " How I keep myself focus towards bigger picture? Good things take time, no one became manager overnight, and great things demand more hard work and double dedication. Set a goal that makes you want to jump out of bed in the morning. Read good book which keeps fire alive within you and inspires you toward your vision. Make the change you want to make/see; time may not give you second chance. Share your vision with people who believe in you, one who can guide you for that and suggest path to get success on

that. "I want to millionaire, share this dream with your friend", might he/she will laugh on you, but share the same dream with millionaire, he will believe in you and boost you with that much confidence that one day you will achieve it. So what makes difference? Why your friends are not believing in you? Because they are not able to show bigger picture, they are small thinkers. They are not able to tackle with their small problem wisely and never able to see that how much we can achieve with one life. Share your thought and action plan with one who believe in you because half of our battle we win/loss in our mind only. Thank you for your precious time, have a great time ahead COLLEGE DAYS College days are always the best days of our life the friends we make the days we spent together and the moment shared are priceless when you move out of the college you become more professional get and write up scaled and enhanced with experience and we are proud to share your experiences. current article IMPORTANCE OF ALUMNI FOR AN INSTITUTE Alumni act as brand ambassadors for an institution. Alumni of an institute sets an example for the other students who would become the part of an institute. Some institute take the help of their alumni to motivate the students and inspire them to do more hard work and achieve great heights. These days institute acknowledge their alumni by organising regular meets of their alumni and also some more fun activities. Social networking sites have helped a lot in a way to connect with the alumni. These sites have helped the students to connect with the alumni and to solve their queries about the institute. The alumni are very important asset for an institute as they are the ones who would be marketing the institute as a whole. Ms. Sonakshi Chadha (PGDM 2016-18) Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur acknowledges their alumni every year by organizing "Alumni Meet" for all the pass out batches of Jaipuria, Jaipur. This event connects the alumni from all the batches together so that they can relive those memories back. This event also helps to increase the networking of the alumni. IMPORTANCE OF PUNCTUALITY & DISCIPLINE IN LIFE Mr. Anshul Sharma PGDM (2017-19) Punctuality and Discipline are the two most important part of an individual life. In this modern era, we somewhere lack in these two aspects. I will tell you my experience regarding punctuality and discipline. It's a time of winter in 14-October-2015, when I was called to give coaching to my own school team. It was a great opportunity for me because I had never coached a team before. Now for me Punctuality and Discipline are most important. I started coaching them and set the time early in the morning at 5.00am and just told the students one thing clear that if you will not come you will not be the part of the team. I started training them, they sometime come late in the morning and always try to give me excuses but when they saw me doing running/exercise in the ground they just remain quiet. Time passes by and after three months of hard work, dedication and commitment, we played our school tournament and won that tournament after 12 years. That moment was the best moment of my life. But this could not be possible if my boys were not punctual and discipline while practicing in the field. Then after we won the tournament we have been invited to Lucknow to play a tournament named as LA Martineer Soccer Tournament. Though we couldn't make in final but we received BEST DISCIPLINE AWARD which make me proud. These were the two incident which change my life and way of living life. CHOSEN FEW Flowers and leaves are meant to be together For they are compliments gathered Beauty is when they are close Separated, they are full of flaws. Family is what's given Friends are those few, chosen Just like a few leaves make the flower look enchanting, So does a good friend makes life fascinating? Fights and quarrels are just so normal Without them everything feels very formal. A flower is incomplete without those leaves Without that friend, life's like pizza without cheese. Ms. Mishita Singhal PGDM (2017-19) When one is rude, the other is dude Just one hug, everything's back to the roots The way that leaf bears the pain of the thorn with the flower So does the friend never lets you apart? Together they stand, Closer they flourish A friend like you, will always be cherished. 45

success story of SUCCESS IS WHEN YOUR "SIGNATURE" CHANGES TO "AUTOGRAPH -- A.P.J Abdul Kalam Mr. Wrick Roy, PGDM Batch (2008-10) Senior Consultant, IBM, Kolkata Life is a journey towards accomplishments of desire to reach the various levels of achievement through the chariot wheels of consistent effort. Hence, success doesn't come from what you do but from what you do consistently. My onward journey towards the accomplishment of desire started as a part of Jaipuria Institute of Management when I got admission as the last candidate of the academic year 2008-2010. As life's journey start from infancy then to childhood, adolescence and adulthood my story also has developed in a step by step way. Initially I had lots of wonder, doubt, and conflict in mind along with dreams to accomplish for a bright future. There is a saying by saint Kabir ------ Initially when I started my MBA studies I found the subject Operation Management very difficult but my Professors Dr. Lokesh Vijayvergiya and Dr. Subhas Dutta, the Director and a pioneer in the domain of Supply Chain motivated to dispel the fear from my mind forever in such a way as if it was the easiest task of the world to complete MBA with flying colors. The moment I started removing the fear from my mind and move forward, the very next year an Taking this wonderful quote into account I can say that at Jaipuria; I was one of the plants that was grown and trimmed gradually by " MALI " i.e. our mentor group. All the teachers contributed in my onward journey towards accomplishment of my desire. In this regard, I would like to thank all my teachers and refer to few incidents which left a remarkable impression on my life. International Conference APORS held at the domain of supply chain to get the glimpse of firsthand experience of the scholars across globe to inspire and boost the students' confidence level. This worked as an eye - opener for all the students with the proverb that man is the creator of his destiny. To create this destiny and fulfill the desire we must not overlook the problem 46

rather than to face the challenge and come out victorious. Prof. H.C Chopra, one of the highly disciplined mentor helped me to inculcate elevated level of confidence to overcome my speech difficulties and come out successful. In the consistent process to achieve desire FAIL is only the "FIRST ATTEMPT IN LEARNING" so one should "arise, awake and stop not till the goal is achieved ". Our placement was a great anxiety for all the students as we had mere three months in our hand before completion of the academic year when Dr. Anvay Bhargava made us to realize we should not give up or allow problems to defeat us but to stand up for our right with the consequence of success. This was the turning point when we were successful to bring few companies successfully for placement. The onward journey of my career started in the year 2010 at the age of 23years with a very meagre package from TCI, Bangalore. The first step which led to various experiences and designation, from lower to higher, from a very normal employee to a senior solution consultant. My sincere regard to those who helped me to realize "Dreams are not what you see in the sleep. They are the things that do not let us sleep". For success, go with passion, and your success will be your satisfaction. This is what I have learnt in my life. I worked for SBI Life Insurance for 6 months as a placement from my PGDM, shifted to Axis Bank as an Assistant Manager for 2 years, again moved and got myself placed in Dubai, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank for 3 months. After working all these years, I realized that jobs are hectic with small slabs, and with no growth in private sector. This was the turning point of my life as I started to think about doing a business of my liking that is cooking. With the help of a contractor in Axis Bank, with the investment, I opened a café 'Tea-Connect 'which I managed as a sole proprietor. Today, working with the same passion, I own 3 café and supervise 3 managers for them. Indirectly, we are a team of 50+ people. Mr. Kishan Jhalani PGDM Batch (2010-12) CEO, Tea Connect As a new entrepreneur, I had difficulties in starting up. The must have quality in that position is having Patience. For 3 months, there is not much sale and profit. Generally people wind-up. I suggest to the young entrepreneurs to 'give your business 365 days'. If you sustain in the market for at least a year, you will run your work well. Go with your passion, you will definitely achieve your goals. 47

alumni's words of DOESN'T MATTER HOW TALENTED YOU ARE IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE ABILITY TO WITHSTAND ADVERSITY. - ORRIN WOODWARD Well, starting with awesome quote I would like to share little bit of my memories. I learned so much more during my PGDM degree besides just management- the importance of determination and personal growth. Although I appeared to be doing well on top, I actually had no idea where I was going or what I wanted to do in life. But journey @ Jaipuria Jaipur helped me a lot. Day by day, I became more experienced and knowledgeable. It would've never been possible if my friends, peers, faculties, mentor did not help. I am very thankful for all support and mentoring. I enjoyed each and every moment in Jaipuria like Abhyudaya, Sports Meet, Alumni Meet, IDP, Guest Lecture, Industrial Visit and what not!!! Delightful memories like playing badminton, cricket, chess and many more. We spent leisure time with friends in garden and kumbha Marg. We have made plan to nahargarh fort on bike Mr. Parth Joshi, PGDM (2015-17), Assistant Manager, Bandhan Bank ride at morning 5 o clock Sunday, Ajmer trip and what not. Yes, twice Manali trip really great trip of my life. The small message to my beloved juniors that "Remember happiness is way of TRAVEL, not a DESTINATION." Keep learning and move on, Respect to Time else Time will not respect you.i am glad to writing. Thank you so much for giving me opportunity. FANTASTIC, JOURNEY IN JAIPURIA I was very impressed the way our professors taught us, they spend lot of time on reading books, planning what to be taught which helped me in my success. I felt very comfortable here. I would like to acknowledge my sincere appreciation to my Director sir, professors and staff and all that Jaipuria institute of management, Jaipur offered me. The end results speak for themselves. Overall today I believe this college has given me great knowledge, confidence and an ability to survive as a professional with the learning that I had during my studies here. I enjoyed both the academic and non-academic life at campus, be it the rigorous assignments, class discussion, group work,in class quizzes, competitions or lazy time spent dreaming about the future informal group discussion, late nights spent sitting or eating out with friends. Although, I don't miss Mr. Umakant Sharma, PGDM(2013-15) Sr. Territory Head, Eureka Forbes Ltd. The college time every day, but there are time I miss all of those activities and late night sessions with my group. Memories are what we are left with in the end, so enjoy your college life to the fullest experience each day with great spirits, the time won't come back. I can only sum it up in one word - 'FANTASTIC'. 48

LIFE AT JAIPURIA It was never my dream to pursue MBA program or to become an MBA graduate but with time, I ended up in Jaipuria institute of Management, never knew that this journey would be so inspirational and motivating. I sorely miss this place- friends, teachers, events and what not. In this 2 years journey I took everlasting memories, never ending friendships, lifelong management experience and above all an MBA degree from a reputed college. I am very grateful to jaipuria institute of Mr. Kunal Godhwani, PGDM(2015-17) Assistance Manager, Yes Bank Management for getting me this wonderful opportunity and providing a platform to step up & fulfil my ambitions. Last but not the least just want to express my gratitude to all the people who supported and helped in nurturing me and bringing the best out from me- special thanks to my mentor Dr. Shuba johri, Dr. Lokesh Vijayvargy, Dr. Swati Soni, Dr. Sheenu Jain, Prafful Jain Uncampus policy can be said as one of the USPs of Jaipuria institute where one can go beyond his/her comfort zone and experience different culture so it's a sincere advice to all the Jaipurians to take the most advantage of this policy and learn more. ENCOURAGING US TO BE MORE INDEPENDENT AND FREEDOM TO THINK AND ACT ON OUR OWN As I move down the lane of memories, I celebrate my study at JIMJ. We had full freedom to express our ideas and thoughts. Our knowledge and skills were enlightened with care by well qualified and magnificent professor, lecturers and other associates. Let it be academics or sports or act or music or any other thing, we were given full freedom to do what we like and give our best to it. In most colleges, it's management that plays a major part in activities like college fest, inter-college competition etc., but at Ms. Kamna Mishra, PGDM (2008-10) Manager, Deutsche Bank JIMJ our management and staff encouraged we students to manage 100% of these events- finance, chief guests, posters and banners, on a magnitude that help create in us a truly unwavering mind, focus on targets and fearless yet composed attitude and teaching us knack of acting in a team. I could feel a silent revolution that JIMJ is bringing and setting up a bench mark to the world wide professional institutions. Our college has not just made us a professional, it moulded us a responsible human being. COLLEGE LIFE College life is that part of your life that you are going to relive in your memories till you breathe. College comes and goes like a wind what is left behind is a bunch of memories which you cherish for the rest of your lives - showing it to your relatives, friends, everyone - "These Were My Golden Days. I Was The King Of My Life. Everybody Used To Call Me 'The Ultimate Rock star'. Don't Miss It And Don't Ruin It either Live It All!!!!" It seems as if it was yesterday when we stepped first in the Jaipuria campus. I met many new faces, but I never thought they are going to be my very close friends today. The fights, the laughter, the cherishing moments were so beautifully spent by us. I miss the faculty the most, College professor - someone who talks in another people's sleep. But for sure they made us learn so many things which now I apply practically in Bajaj Electricals. Especially report making taught by faculty is very much useful now as my boss appreciate me for the organized report. You can make life dance to your tunes inside your college gates (i.e. during your college life) but at the other side of the gate, life sets its own tunes & makes you dance. That's why I miss college time the most and I would like to suggest my juniors to cherish this moment as much as they can because time will fly and you are going to miss these days a lot. After college there is a pretty suggestion from my side to all the juniors that have patience and don't run after money and success. Try to learn as much as you can in your first job. Don't think of quitting the job at the first day of joining. Be patient, interact with as many individuals as you can. In case of any hurdles talk to your faculty and seniors but don't leave the job before one year of probation. There is a mantra of success that if you really want to grow in corporate life, stick to your first company for at least 2-3 years then only you can answer others that what you have learnt to be a fresher. Have faith and try to explore new things and contribute as many fresh Ideas as Ms. Shobhana Tiwari, PGDM (2015-17) Sales Management Associates Bajaj Electricals you can. Be agile and flexible. Don't restrict your boundaries. Sky is the limit, fly as high as you can and grow. All the best, rejoice in the lord always. Always be thankful, count the blessings, name them one by one and it will surprise you what the lord has done. We are blessed that we got the opportunity to study in such a reputed institute like Jaipuria. Economists report that a college education adds many thousands of dollars to a man's lifetime income - which he then spends sending his son to college. So live each moment of your college life. 49

Feels like we were sitting in these lecture halls just yesterday.getting a chance to revisit the campus to celebrate 10 year anniversary of our batch passing out brought back a lot of memories that were lost somewhere due to the hectic work life we have been leading. It was a wonderful trip down the memory lane, nostalgic yet blissfully satisfying.the best part was that the place has not changed a bit. We got the same love from our teachers that we were used to during our educational years and the respect we got from current students was overwhelming. It gives me immense pride to be associated with an institute that has been giving exceptional results in terms of securing great placements for its students in a diversified range of industries. This is a clear indicator of the high educational standards maintained by the collage.i would be eternally grateful to JIMJ as it has played a huge role in developing my personality and preparing me for the future that laid before me. Wishing many more success stories and achievements for Jaipuria and Jaipurians." - Mr. Nitesh choudhary, PGDM Batch 2007-09, Process Supervisor, Deutsche Bank 50
