Students should be aware that 100 hours in liberal arts and sciences and 45 junior/senior hours are required for completion of the four-year degree; the last 30 of those hours must be taken at KU. IMPORTANT NOTE: Beginning Fall 2013 transfer students will be admitted to KU s new Core Curriculum automatically. 2. Laboratory or Field Experience (Variable Credits): This course must be an academic-credit bearing laboratory or field experience. This course may be taken in conjunction with a lecture course but the course combination must contain a laboratory. 3. Writing (6 Credits): Students must complete six credit hours (two courses) of collegiate writing-level instructions. Students must complete ENGL 101: Composition and ENGL 102/105: Critical Reading and Writing/Freshman Honors English.
