FIITJEE Chennai Centre - A brief After writing many success stories at Delhi and Hyderabad, FIITJEE opened its Centre at Chennai in April 2005. The year 2007 was almost a miracle. 20 of the very first batch of students from Pinnacle two year, integrated school program were qualified in the IITJEE (highest from any single schooling system in Tamil Nadu), with another 23 students from Class room program, totalling to 43 in the IITJEE 2007 from FIITJEE Chennai Centre. In the year 2008, FIITJEE created a big history in Chennai. All India Rank 54 (the Top Rank in Tamil Nadu) was from FIITJEE's 2 year Classroom program batch, 64 students from Pinnacle 2 year Integrated program and another 44 students from two year classroom program, made a total of 108 selections in the IIT JEE, 2008. Today FIITJEE's programs are running in five different schools in Chennai. Pinnacle 2 year integrated school program is now running at Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Chetpet and at St. John's Sr. Sec School, Adyar. Supreme 4 year integrated school program is running at Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Chetpet and Maharishi International Residential School. Non Integrated Classroom programs are available at DAV Boys Sr. Sec School Mugappair and DAV Boys Sr. Sec. School, Gopalapuram along with the schools mentioned above. Now FIITJEE has its own centre at Indira Nagar, Adyar also. 2

Apart from teaching, our faculty members will be trained to do the SWOT analysis of each and every student which helps the students to improve his / her performance on day to day basis. In order to help the student better, Academic Operations department plays a vital role as a bridge between faculty and students and is specially framed to ensure that all the issues of the students or parents related to academics are resolved in top priority. Apart from this, the department informs daily time table, schedule of examinations, mailing of performance reports and attendance reports of the students to parents, counseling of students, arranging Parent Teachers Meet, distribution of study material etc. Apart from this, there are well equipped Admission and Accounts Departments for the convenience of students and parents. 12
Sucess at FIITJEE Chennai Centre IIT-JEE 2008 Results In IIT-JEE 2008, 108 students out of 200 qualified* from Chennai are FIITJEE students. The ranks secured by our students are - AIR 54, AIR 118, AIR 272, AIR 398, AIR 724, AIR 727, AIR 798, AIR 855, AIR 890, AIR 902 etc. It is the highest number of selections from any single institute in Tamilnadu. Out of 108 students, 64 students (51 main list + 13 EML) are from our integrated school program and the rest 44 (32 main list + 12 EML) are from non integrated programs. AIEEE 2008 Results In AIEEE 2008 more than 220 students are qualified from FIITJEE Chennai Centre. More over 41 students from our Pinnacle program and more than 40 students from Non integrated program have joined NIT Trichy alone. CBSE 2008 Results 1. Out of 186 students who appeared for CBSE class 12 board examination 95% and above - 5 students 90% and above - 48 students 85% and above - 108 students 80% and above - 146 students 3 centums in Mathematics 2. Out of 45 students who appeared for CBSE class 10 board examination 7 out of 45 appeared students have secured 90% and above 41 out of 45 appeared students have secured distinction in total marks 44 out of 45 students have secured distinction in Mathematics with 28 students securing 90 or more in Mathematics. 44 out of 45 students have secured distinction in Science with 17 students securing 90 or more in Science. NTSE 2008 Results From our Ascent and Ascent Plus program for Class 10 and Pinnacle integrated school program for class 11, 11 students have qualified in NTSE 2008. A nd from our Target NTSE Program for class 8, 5 students have qualified in NTSE 2008. KVPY 2007 & 2008 Results In KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana) 2007, 2 students have got the final scholarship and for the year 2008 more than 75 students cleared the Stage 1 examination and Stage II results are awaited. *source - The Hindu dt 16th May 2008. 13
Hostel Facility at FIITJEE Chennai Centre FIITJEE Foundation We understand that many students do not want to study in groups and prefer to study in a silent room. In this hostel, we have provided both the comforts. A more personalized room and a separate study room to the students where they can do concentrate much better on their studies. In order to help them better, while the students study hard, we have air conditioned the entire hostel. This hostel is located in Egmore in the near vicinity of the study centre and offers spacious comfortable stay. It offers a two tier sleeping bed arrangement in the form of dormitory. For studies, they come to the classrooms and for sports they move to a big playground.
