CHOICE BASED CREDIT SYSTEM FOR INTERDISCIPLINARY POST GRADUATE PROGRAMMES 1 Programmes MSc (Behavioural Science) MSc (al Studies) MSc (Strategic Management) MA (Economics) MA (Educational leadership and Management) 2 Eligibility Candidates applying for the above programmes must possess a recognised undergraduate degree with minimum 50 percent marks. Preference will be given to candidates with work experience. Individual programmes may stipulate additional preferences. The duration of the programme shall be a minimum of 2 years to a maximum of 4 years with one year extension given to students upon payment of an extension fee. 3 Admission process Admission will be based on qualifying examination marks and a Personal Interview. Programme Structure 3.1 The programme is offered trimester-wise with twelve core courses and six open electives. Each course will earn four credits. Core and elective courses will be offered in a staggered manner and will have to be completed within the maximum duration of the programme. Open electives will be offered from the second trimester. 3.2 Candidates can take electives offered by any of the five programmes. Subsequently they will register for individual courses by paying between INR 5,000 - INR7, 000 depending on the course. 6 Evaluation methods are decided by the respective course instructors offering the course and made known to the candidate at the commencement of the course. Continuous assessment will be conducted by the course instructors as per the University guidelines and final competency exam will be conducted by the Office of Examinations. Results and grades will be made available to the students within two weeks of completion of the course. Candidates who fail a course have to re-register for the same course offered later by paying requisite fee. 7 Class timing: Classes will be held on all week days from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM and from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM on all Saturdays. 8 Attendance: Minimum required attendance for each course will be 85 percent. 9 Completion of the programme: A student will be deemed to have completed the programme if he/she has passed minimum 18 courses amounting to 72 credits inclusive of the mandatory core courses of the programme.

1. MSc (Behavioural Science) Programme Overview The programme conducted by the Department of Psychology introduces the intricacies of human behaviour, and the genetic, neural and biological bases for human behaviour, and their impact on cognitive and emotional processes. It will explain how we function in interpersonal, social and organisational contexts and introduce methods of research to study human behaviour. MSc (al Studies) Programme Overview The Master of Science in al Studies seeks to address critical developmental gaps in India and South Asia and create capacity and resources to meet the emerging needs for sustainable development. that is sustainable is of central importance in the agendas of numerous organizations ranging from corporations to NGOs, UN agencies, bi-lateral organizations, political parties, local government and international funding agencies. Students who opt for this programme will gain first-hand knowledge and skills to engage with rising issues such as global warming, limited energy resources, population growth and the rise of newer economies. Students will interact with international experts on themes that are of relevance world over. The programme will employ pedagogies such as problem-based learning, case studies and field visits.

MSc (Strategic Management) The Master of Science in Strategic Management provides a strong analytical approach to management, focusing on developing critical thinking in relation to managerial economics and its relevance in organizations and strategy. The programme combines Strategic Management Concepts, Principles and Models, International Business Strategy, Corporate Valuation, Mergers and Acquisitions, Human Resource Management and other relevant courses. Students will learn analytical skills rather than mere description, making this programme unique. MA (Economics) Programme Overview The MA Economics programme aims to form students with deep knowledge of economic theory and skill in empirical methodology to form ethically well-grounded students with ability for incisive reasoning. The programme seeks to strike a sound balance between theory and application along with an interdisciplinary dimension without diminishing the focus on Economics. This approach is meant to help students face the dynamic challenges in terms of academics and the market. In line with this approach the programme has a combination of courses related to economic theory, methodology and two streams of specialisations which, on the one hand meet the needs of corporate employment and on the other create the ability of applying economic theory to development problems of the country. More specifically students will be equipped to take up careers in academics, business consulting and analytics, civil society and activist organisations, the public sector and international civil services.
