The GTVSDAX Form
The Form GTVSDAX identifies Banner fields that require data translation or hierarchical retrieval. External codes (user-defined) are matched with internal codes.
The Form Internal Code Used within PL/SQL functions and procedures to determine the rows to retrieve from the GTVSDAX table
Internal Sequence Hierarchy The Form Specifies the retrieval order of Banner data Positional Identifier Reserved for use with Object Access views Defines the position within a view where a repeating group will appear
Internal Group The Form High level group of data categorized to provide multiple entries for a single concept External Code User defined values from rules and validation tables
The Form Description Describes the concept Translation Code Returns the translated values
The Form Reporting Date Used by Object Access views to allow the user to enter an override profile date for specific views
The Form System Required Indicates if the row is required for production processing Activity Date The last date of activity for the row of data
GTVSDAX in Baseline Banner
Baseline Banner Specify the amount of time (in minutes) a student has before the system automatically times out and any unsaved changes are not saved. The default value is 60 minutes.
Baseline Banner Specify which advisees are displayed in Faculty and Advisor Self-Service. Enter N in the External Code field if all advisees assigned to the advisor for the selected term are to be displayed, whether they are registered or not. Enter Y in the External Code field if only advisees to the advisor and registered for classes for the selected term are to be displayed.
Baseline Banner Specify whether all advisors and/or all faculty members can access students transcripts and degree evaluations via the web. Enter Y in the External Code field if all advisors or all faculty members are permitted access. Enter N in the External Code field if only some advisors or faculty members are permitted access.
Baseline Banner Indicates if the pull-down list of available grades on the faculty mid term and final grades pages should include only the grades that match the grade mode associated with the student. Enter Y in the External Code field if the pull-down lists should include only the grades that match the grade mode associated with the student. Enter N in the External Code field if the pull-down lists should include all grades for the course level found on the SFRSTCR record (uses course level from SFAREGS, the grade mode on SCACRSE, and the combination of the logic on SHAGRDE).
Baseline Banner Specify the maximum number of student records to be displayed on grade-related Web pages. The default value is 50.
Baseline Banner These concepts specify whether or not students must enter their alternate PINs for registration. WEBALTPINA - Enter Y in the External Code field if students must go to his or her advisor for an alternate PIN prior to registration. WEBALTPINU Enter Y in the External Code to compare the student s PIN on SPAAPIN with that on the Third Party Registration Time Controls form (SFARGTC) to determine access to registration drop/add via the Web.
Baseline Banner Specify the maximum number of registration attempts a student can make via the Web. The default value is 2000.
Baseline Banner Continued Specify whether or not non-primary instructors can enter grades via the Web. Enter Y in the External Code field if only primary instructors can enter grades via the web. Enter N in the External Code field if both primary and non-primary instructors can enter grades via the Web. No rules should be defined for the ENTERGRADES process on SOAFAPC for both primary and non-primary instructors to be able to enter grades via the Web.
GTVSDAX in Georgia Enhancements
Georgia Enhancements Background There are several Georgia Enhancements that use GTVSDAX for processing records within Banner, such as assigning an appropriate detail code and selecting the Regents term.
Accounts Receivable Georgia Enhancements PeopleSoft HRMS Receivables Load process (ZGRARLD) GTVSDAX rules allow the process to assign the appropriate detail code to the transactions written to TBRACCD.
Georgia Enhancements Financial Aid HOPE Accumulation/Eligibility process (ZORHGPA) Translates the spring 01 to 02 for the spring check point term (HOPECHCKPT).
Financial Aid Georgia Enhancements HOPE Invoicing Extract process (ZHRHINV) Translates the Term code using the HOPEINVTRM label. 02 = Spring 05 = Summer 08 = Fall
Georgia Enhancements Financial Aid Financial Aid Award by Term Translate the term code values for the HOPE check point term (HOPECHCKPT) Note: This is the same entry used for ZORHGPA
Financial Aid Georgia Enhancements Title IV and HOPE Scholarship On-Line Authorizations Translate delivered values for RGTAUTH. FDRL = Title IV Authorizations HOPE = HOPE Scholarship Authorization Translate the values in TTVAUTH using the RGTAUTH label. HB = HOPE Books
