BSB50215 Diploma of Business What you need to know about this course COURSE NUMBER E1058 How is the course delivered? This is an online course. This means that you will complete your knowledge and initial skills development through online learning. What is online learning? OpenSpace is Open Colleges online campus. Through OpenSpace you will: > access your learning materials and assessments > undertake and upload assessments > engage and interact with your trainer and assessor > participate in student discussions and find a study buddy > access your assessment grades and feedback > access Student Support Services. What learning materials are included with this course? Your learning materials are accessed through OpenSpace. These include: > learner workbooks > online discussion and activities > case studies > videos > research reports > resources, glossary, news discussions and weblinks > access to the GALE library through OpenSpace. What about Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)? We understand that you may already have many skills and areas of expertise that you have obtained in different ways and these are recognised through our Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process. Choice of Streams You will have the choice of two elective streams in this course: > ebusiness > Human Resources. ebusiness Students of ebusiness will learn to investigate and design online business solutions and how to plan digital marketing communications. Human Resources Human Resources students will learn how to manage return-to-work programs and develop personnel effectiveness. What about credit transfer? Students who have completed other accredited courses in business or marketing may be eligible for credit transfer. Contact an Enrolment Consultant for more information. What is the duration of the course? The maximum duration for the course is 18 months. To complete the course in this timeframe, we recommend that you study a minimum of 6 hours per week. This is a guide only. As a selfpaced online course, the time it will take learners to complete is flexible and dependent on ability and time available.

Equivalency can be demonstrated by one of the following: > a qualification at Certificate III level or higher OR > 2 Years industry experience in a role that requires the use of written documentation and communication. Minimum Age Requirements You will need to be at least 18 years old. English Language Requirements This course requires you to read comprehensive learner workbooks, undertake a range of written assessments and engage in online discussions. Furthermore, the course relies on the extensive use of written communication. As such, entry to the course requires English proficiency to Year 12 level, or equivalent (see Education Requirements for equivalency) or completion of an approved English language test (see website for details). Computing Requirements You will need access to a computer and the internet and have intermediate computing skills. Minimum specifications for your computer are: > Microsoft Office 2010 or equivalent > broadband internet connection > 2GB of RAM > CD-ROM or DVD drive > Adobe Reader X or equivalent > Printer and associated software > Scanner and associated software > Digital imaging software > File compression software equivalent.
